There were no adjustments to Thursday's sole original program, the Macy's 4th of July Spectacular, among adults 18-49 versus the preliminary Thursday broadcast ratings.

    Macy’s show was a big disappointment. Poor choice of music to accompany the fireworks. PBS’ a Capital Fourth was a much better show.

    I agree with Why Watch; the use of 4 songs by Usher while the fireworks were going off made the NBC show look like an informerical for his new album. I liked the NYC Macy’s fireworks show, (the biggest in the country), but, the music was better on PBS (and the fireworks were very good as well). I miss the Boston Pops fireworks show on CBS. They have great music and fireworks, but, only the local CBS network aired them this year.
