True blood At Last

True Blood was Sunday's top cable program with a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating, up from last week's 2.2. Keeping Up with the Kardashians came in second with a 1.3 up from last week's 1.1.

We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our principal source. If you don’t see an original episode of a show here, it’s because it wasn’t in the top 100.

The list below is long but you can use your browsers "find on page" feature (usually CTRL+F or CMD+F) to search for specific shows.

    @bravod,(regarding the RHONJ) Wow are you serious with those comments? Are you a Teresa apologist or something? You are the one sounding like a miserable person. Like she doesn’t constantly sit around and talk constantly about the other housewives herself but it makes me laugh when people accuse the others of talking about her all the time. Excuse me but Jacqueline has a child dealing with autism, and there are lots of families dealing with that and it is good she is on the show bringing awareness to it. She has been on from Season 1 also, so she is hardly using her son’s condition as a paycheck. Apparently you haven’t been paying much attention. Just because Caroline doesn’t kiss Tre’s behind either, doesn’t mean she is a nasty person. She just doesn’t play around and act fake. I may not always agree with the comments she makes, but at least she owns that she has a sharp tongue at times, unlike Teresa. Besides, her kids are way more classy than Teresa’s little spoiled brats!! Hey if I didn’t know any better, I would accuse you of actually being Teresa Guidice!! My goodness!!

  • Juan

    reallypeople, what are you talking about? Any one can tell from casting to sets that the cost per ep of The Killing is less than the cost of a Lifetime movie of a similar nature. That’s relatively cheap. I will wait until I see the next season of Hell on Wheels before commenting on it’s budget but it’s pretty clear from it’s cast to the sets it was not a cheap production.

    You also fail to understand the Netflix deal. Why did Netflix enter that deal? Strong delayed viewer ratings for The Killing. That deal wasn’t based on premiere hr TV ratings. Such online deals shift the focus some away from those ratings & in turn lower that bar for continuation of the show.

    I see no reason why The Killing won’t continue as long as it continues to make this list.

  • The End

    @Juan
    @Anyone can tell from casting to sets that the cost per ep of The Killing is less than the cost of a Lifetime movie of a similar nature.

    Do you have a source for this? Quoting episode budgets, set construction costs along with cast salaries? And while you at it, do the same for Lifetime too.

    I don’t watch this show but think that comment alone is pretty ridiculous, I understand you’re a fan but that’s grasping at straws a bit. The show will likely have a regular cable budget. No more, no less.

  • TV#1

    Good for True Blood. I respect others opinions on the show, but I still love it. I hope it continues to do well.

    Also, I am happy to see Devious Maids rise. I wasn’t sure if I would like the series, but so far I am enjoying it.

  • Dennis

    Season 2 hit a few 0.3′s
    Season 3 hasnt yet..and there does seem to be a little lift in the last few weeks.

    Season 3 ratings: 0.4 0.4 0.4 0.4 0.6 0.4 0.5

    And really, it shouldve been airing at 10 this season, with Mad Men as a lead in(for the first few weeks)

    I see no reason why it wont get renewed aslong as numbers dont go below 0.4.

    I’m interested in seeing how Low Winter Sun does in August

  • The End

    @Dennis
    @I see no reason why it wont get renewed aslong as numbers dont go below 0.4.

    I admire your optimism. Perhaps a small miracle may happen.

  • Juan

    It’s easy enough to look up production costs for Lifetime crime movies at imdb. They cost no more than a few million to make. Some even less than $1m. They feature better known actors & more elaborate sets.

    What’s ridiculous is your claim it got a much higher budget after it was axed. That makes no sense at all. As does your claim promotional costs soared vs previous seasons because of the Netflix deal.

  • reallypeople

    @The End

    Bingo. I agree totally.

    And Hell on Wheels’ cast being expensive? LOL! They promoted two people already on roster to regulars and killed off *spoiler alert* Dominique (as well as -supposedly- Christopher, Duncan, and Ry.. now on the Killing). And please, there’s no way Colm, Common, and Anson are more expensive than Mereille, Joel, and Peter. As for the rest, as The End said, your logic doesn’t add up.

    As for me, apparently, not understanding the Netflix deal.. LOL! pass, but maybe it felt better to get that inaccuracy off your chest. It certainly didn’t help make your point, any.

  • The End

    @Juan

    Why are you comparing to a Lifetime movie anyway? I chimed into your conversation to pick out one point you aimed at someone. Although I didn’t read the conversation you were having with another user here, they’re mistaken that the budget will likely be much higher than Season 2s. Typically a shows budget is increased marginally with each new season.

  • Juan

    @TE, Similar cost, audience, & ratings. It’s an obvious comparison to make. Tonight, The Bridge starts on FX. That’s another obvious comparison to make to The Killing as well.

  • B

    RHONJ is still the highest rated housewives show! I think that 8 o’clock is too early for
    some people. I wasn’t able to watch at 8, so I caught the 10 o’clock rerun. Also good for the Kardashians.

  • samurai99

    @Juan

    Game of thrones audience is 40% female.

    “Job doesn’t care when people under 25 watch because they pirate the show.’ Nice self defeating argument there.

    all the actors contracts for true blood run out after season 7. If you think true blood is going to get eight seasons with increasing costs, falling viewership, and no critical acclaim, you’re delusional.

  • Juan

    @Sam, as usual your post didn’t make a lick of sense. English or otherwise.

  • The End

    @Samurai99
    @Game of thrones audience is 40% female.

    Which is common for most shows these days. There’s a fine balance between Male and Female viewers on almost every show on TV these days. Be it 50/50, 60/40, 40/60 split etc.

  • matt

    RHONJ needs to move to 9. It would average more viewers and have a higher rating. Still the #2 housewife show though!

    Also, why is RHONJ never in the title? It is one of the most popular sunday shows. Way more popular than ‘the killing’

  • samurai99

    You clearly don’t know what logic is Juan.

  • Dennis

    @matt

    because its reality crap?

  • Juan

    @Sam, enlighten me. I’m always in the mood for a good laugh & your stupidity often provides it.

    @TE, True Blood is closer to a 60/40 split. As I recall the last # I read was 58% female.

  • The End

    @Juan
    @Similar cost

    With respect, are you trying to say that you think an episode of The Killing is equal to the cost of a Lifetime movie? Honestly? I admit I don’t know the budget of a Lifetime movie on average but this show will be operating on a budget on or around $2 million an episode.

  • samurai99

    @Juan

    You made the ludicrous claim that true blood would get eight seasons, and I pointed out why you’re wrong. It doesn’t get more basic than that.

    Not to mention you’re three page thread denying that hbo has said game of thrones gets more viewers than true blood.
