The Haunted Hathaways

via press release:

The Hathaways and Prestons conjure up ghostly fun in Nickelodeon’s brand-new live-action comedy series, The Haunted Hathaways, debuting Saturday, July 13, at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT).  The original ensemble sitcom includes viral hip-hop sensation Benjamin “Lil P-Nut” Flores Jr., Breanna Yde, Amber Montana, Curtis Harris, Ginifer King and Chico Benymon.Visit Nick.com for character bios, behind-the-scenes video and photos before the show premieres.
The Haunted Hathaways follows the adventures of a not-so-typical blended family. When Michelle Hathaway (Ginifer King) relocates to New Orleans, LA., to open a bakery with her daughters Taylor (Amber Montana) and Frankie (Breanna Yde), they quickly learn that life in the “Big Easy” is very different. Unbeknownst to them, their new home is already occupied by a ghost family comprised of jazz musician father Ray Preston (Chico Benymon), and his sons Miles (Curtis Harris) and Louie (Benjamin “Lil P-Nut” Flores Jr.).  After agreeing to live under one roof, they come to care about and rely on one another while driving each other crazy-- just like any normal family would. Though leery at first, the Hathaways soon discover how much fun life can be when living with ghosts.

Utterly pathetic. Nick isn’t trying anymore…

  • Nathan

Sounds better than Dog with a Blog…

  • Twist Of Fate

If this doesn’t succeed, Nick should just stick to Nicktoons. It’s been fail after fail in live-action this year. I really think Nick should take advantage of Korra’s older audience & pair it with the SatPM Block

  • #bravod

I think Nick should stick with Nicktoons and Dan Schnieder.

  • Linda

Has there been any promotions for it cuz I haven’t seen any, plus I’ve seen an episode of it I didn’t like it

  • DisneyBitch

Please! Dog with a Blog is a masterpiece compared to this abomination…

  • Janet

Stop arguing. We all know how Nathan LOVES starting drama. He is so annoying.

  • Spongebob

@Nathan, I thought you were done with this Disney vs Nick thing. You said that yourself and I think it is time to end it.

I think Nick could’ve been back on top had they fired their current president and bring in a new president with the old mindset of Nick shows. Shows similar to the likes of “Kenan & Kel”, “Cousin Skeeter”, “Journey of Allen Strange” and “Alex Mack” would be big for Nickelodeon.

And @Twist of Fate, what makes you think Nicktoons have been doing well this year? Only a couple episodes of Spongebob have done well this year, while everything else has been under the radar and underperforming. Truth is, Disney has done better with cartoons like “Phineas and Ferb”.

  • Justin

This show’s premise reminds me of that SNL Sketch “Aw Nuts, Moms A Ghost”

  • Nathan

That awkward moment when you have to make fake names just to prove a point. Shows who loves starting drama…

  • Nathan

“..Disney has done better with cartoons like Phineas and Ferb”

Oh yeah. Scoring 2.6 million viewers is a good for animated toons now? Give me a break.

  • Nathan

It’s just SAD how people can’t respect others opinions, without creating fake accounts to bring the person down, or to gather agreement.

Jamie, I’ll end it when your comments start showing facts. Only a couple of episodes of Spongebob have done well this year? Where you getting your information from, Disney media?

FYI, all NEW Spongebob airings this year have remained above 3.7 million viewers. Also Sanjay & Craig is a moderate hit for the network; so is TMNT.

5 most recent Phineas & Ferb airings (P2+)(Total Viewers)
    4/19: 2.6 million
    4/26: 2.4 million
    6/7: 3.3 million
    6/28: 3.1 million
    7/5: 2.6 million
Average = 2.8 million total viewers

5 most recent Sanjay & Craig airings (P2+) (Total Viewers)
    5/27: 3.6 million
    6/1: 3.1 million
    6/8: 2.4 million
    6/22: 2.9 million
    6/29: 2.9 million
Average: 2.98, rounded up to 3.0 million viewers.

I would do more..but you SHOULD get my point now.

  • jamie

Lets do “Gravity Falls” episodes then.

    5 Most recent GF airings:

    3/1: 3.1 million
    3/15: 4.5 million
    4/5: 3.4 million
    4/19: 3.2 million
    6/28: 3.5 million

Now you SHOULD get my point now. I don’t need to respond anymore.

  • Kaylie

    @jamie.. You’re cool lol.

  • Nathan

Lets do “Fish Hooks” episodes then.

Oh wait.. that Spongebob wannabe is a FLOP. :D

  • Nathan

Jamie about nicktoons before Sanjay & Craig premiered: “Every nicktoon that doesn’t have the name Spongebob will have problems pulling in 2 million viewers”.

    He/she/whatever that thing is…was wrong.

  • Nathan

    5 most recent Sponge airings:

    1/1: 3.7 million
    1/19: 4.4 million
    3/9: 4.0 million
    3/16: 3.8 million
5/25: 4.2 million (WITH SUCKY PROMOTION)

You should get my point now, Disney prep. I’m right, and I will surely not back down. I don’t care what any of you say..to be honest. Someone has to set you Disney drug addicts straight.

  • Twist Of Fate

@Jamie Are you in denial. SpongeBob OWNS kids tv. Also, Nick has numerous successful Nicktoons. TMNT single-handedly saved Nick from losing it’s total viewer dominance. TMNT (not counting the Fri premieres) averages about 3.5 million viewers. FOP is still scoring over 3 million on a weekly basis. Korra wwas doing even better than SpongeBob despite no repeats or promotion. Sanjay & Craig is doing fairly well for itself. Last episode scored 2.9 million despite having no FOP or SBSP lead-in. Some of you Disney fans need to wake up. Nick is doing well right now. Imagine when new SBSP & Korra enter the fray, it’s over
