Hollywood Game Night

via press note:

  • From 10-11 p.m. ET, the debut of “Hollywood Game Night” (1.3/4 in 18-49 4.1 million viewers overall) ranked #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in the time period in adults 18-49 and all other key demos – adults, men and women 18-34; men and women 18-49; and adults, men and women 25-54.

  • “Hollywood Game Night” equaled last week’s “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular” 10 p.m. ET encore for NBC’s top 18-49 rating in the hour since April 18.  In total viewers, excluding the “Macy’s” special, it’s the biggest overall audience for NBC in the slot since April 11.

  • “Hollywood Game Night” grew from its first half-hour to its second in adults 18-49 by 17% (to a 1.4 rating from a 1.2), despite the 10 p.m. hour, and was also up half-hour to half-hour in every other key category.

  • In the 10:30 lead-in to local news, “Hollywood Game Night” delivered a 21% margin of victory in the key news demo of adults 25-54 (with a 1.7 rating vs. a 1.4 for ABC’s second-place “Rookie Blue”). “HGN” led the 10:30 half-hour in all other key demos.

  • At 9 p.m. ET, “The Winner Is…” (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall) delivered NBC’s top 18-49 and total-viewer results in the time period, excluding last week’s “Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular,” since May 16.   “The Winner Is…” built on its lead-in by 25% in 18-49.

  • From its first half-hour to its second, “The Winner Is…” grew by 11% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.0 from a 0.9) and by 14% in total viewers (4.2 million vs. 3.7 million).

  • From 8-9 p.m. ET, an encore telecasts of "The Winner Is…" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.4 million viewers overall) grew from its first half-hour to its second by 14% in 18-49 rating (to a 0.8 from a 0.7) and 9% in total viewers (3.6 million vs. 3.3 million).

  • NBC’s Thursday lineup grew in 18-49 rating during every half-hour of primetime, with this track: : 0.7, 0.8, 0.9, 1.0, 1.2, 1.4.

    Univision beat it?

  • Joseph

In some cities, local 10 P.M. newscasts on Fox, CW, or My Network TV stations (especially the former) may have beaten “Game Night” in overall viewers and key demographics.

But nationally, Univision may have won the 10 P.M. ET/PT hour in key young-adult demographics. I suspect Univision won the 10-11 ET/PT hour among adults between 18 and 34 years of age, and may have also done so in the key 18-49 demo.

Or, a cable program may have drawn more viewers in key demos.
