Pawn Stars 2013

Pawn Stars was Thursday's top cable program with a  1.4 adults 18-49 even with its most recent new episode  on June 27. Swamp People was the top non-Pawn Stars original with a 1.1  adults 18-49 rating , even with  June 27.

Sharknado garnerd a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating, proving again that there is not always a correlation between tweets and ratings. Your predictions were far too optimistic.

We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our primary source. If you don't see your show it wasn't in that top 100 list.

The list below is long but you can use your browsers "find on page" feature (usually CTRL+F or CMD+F) to search - that's probably the easiest way to find Thursday night's episode of a specific show

  • FringeFan

    “Sharknado” was a flop. Only a .4 and 1.3 million viewers after all that hype.

  • TimsDale4ever

    NAN just continues to kill me on how well they perform every night with those repeating comedies of yesteryear. Just amazing!

  • Observer

    Repeating part of my post from the other article, a couple of tweets re Sharknado:
    MediaSavantGF ?@MediaSavantGF 22m
    #Sharknado may have AVERAGED 1.369 million viewers, but it was 1.19 mil in first qtr hour. 1.597 in last qtr hr. A18-34 rose 84% during.

    MediaSavantGF ?@MediaSavantGF 19m
    I think an 85% increase in Adult 18-34 viewing from 1st 15 mins. to last 15 mins may be evidence of twitter impact. #SharkNado

  • JFC

    Based on the Twitter and other media buzz, I kind of expected Sharknado to do better, But to be honest, I’m glad it didn’t. My thanks to everyone who joined me and found something else to watch.

  • Observer

    Was the 11pm Syfy Movie listed second to last on this list Sharknado also? Or another movie?

  • OWN Fan

    I don’t understand why in the world cable TV scripted giants like TNT, USA, and Lifetime have to try to do reality tv. I think every cable network has a specific brand. TNT, USA, Lifetime brands are scripted shows.
    Their reality shows always do bad and would do better on another network like Bravo or Vh1. I think that gigantic ‘Burn Notice’ drop is because of a weak lead in.

  • r0ckmypants

    @Observer – No, the 11pm movie was 2 Headed Shark Attack.

  • Martin

    Graceland skews pretty young, no? – hopefully it rebounds in viewers soon though, will it as it is be good enough to be renewed? – opinions.

  • Observer

    @r0ckmypants – thank you!

  • cara

    @OWN Fan
    Gigantic drop? The last episode did what, 1.1? BN took a one week break bc of Independence Day and I am sure BN rating was not affected by that. bn has been around for seven years and it has an establish fan base, why would a show that just premeire have any type of impact?

  • OWN Fan

    @cara, ‘Burn Notice’ has only got down to 3 million viewers two times (during the December dates) in the last two years. Last time it aired, a marathon of ‘NCIS’ aired that got 1.8 million viewers. That’s 800k less than what ‘Summer Camp’ got. And the other week ‘Burn Notice’ got 3.8 million viewers. Is that a coincidence? ?

  • Observer

    Another observation about ratings from Michael Ausiello at TVLine.com: “While it exploded Twitter and such, the TV-movie drew 1.4 million total viewers, with 566K landing in the 18-49 sweet spot — up 29 percent from the cabler’s 2013 average for an original movie. Sharknado also scored the youngest median age (46.8) for a Syfy pic since Zombie Apocalypse (Oct. 2011).”

  • TV#1

    Anger Management was good last night. It was the best one I have seen in the last couple of weeks.

    Wilfred was very good again. It is a shame very few people watch that show. It is one of the funniest shows on TV right now, in my opinion.

  • LL

    A lot of shows got hit hard this week due to the Holiday break last week.

    So I’ll see what happens next Thursday if these shows get back to their right numbers.

    Impact Wrestling was awesome last night that women’s ladder match between Gail Kim and Taryn Terrell was must see television and next week they got a free PPV. TNA is trying everything why the does WWE still have the ratings TNA deserves right now it makes no sense.

  • LL

    “Anger Management was good last night. It was the best one I have seen in the last couple of weeks.”

    Yeah I agree the show has been on its A-game lately it looks like the show is finally really coming together now.

  • Daw Johnson

    @Observer

    That reeks of someone trying to keep on the network’s good side. Fine, 18-49 ratings were up 29% from the network average, but buzz was up 800000%.

    Perhaps SyFy didn’t greenlight this thinking it would do anything better than it did, but with all that buzz, it can’t look solely at performance against the network average. It needs to consider the context.

    And, in any event, the big story here is that we once again got proof that Tweets/Internet buzz don’t equal ratings. We see it every week with The CW, and we’ve seen it with movies like Snakes on a Plane and Grindhouse.

  • scfyi

    Sharknado bombed and there is a very small correlation between number of tweets and viewership numbers. People can try to spin the results, mixing relative numbers and absolute numbers of the demos, the fact remains that Sharknado flopped.

  • Kevin

    Graceland down in viewers but up in the demo.
    I’ll take it. I really love this show, praying for a renewal (Common Law still hurts a bit.)

  • Shepherd

    Still lmao at anyone who thought sharknado would pull a 1.0 or even a 0.8. I went with a .3, but at least it was a reasonable guess. Hopefully SyFy will someday stop wasting their money on all of these stupid movies; even their worst scripted series typically do better.

  • Shepherd

    @Kevin

    With BN ending, I don’t think Graceland will have any problems getting renewed if it can hold pretty steady for the rest of the season. NR is on my likely canceled list as well, even if CA similarly under-performs this summer.

    I agree that they could have given CL another chance though. The finale wasn’t half bad iirc.
