via press release:

NICKELODEON’S THE HAUNTED HATHAWAYS BOWS WITH MORE THAN
3 MILLION TOTAL VIEWERS

Hathaways Marks Nick’s Third Straight Summer Launch to Surge
With Kids, Total Viewers
NEW YORK–July 15, 2013–Nickelodeon’s weekend launch of The Haunted Hathaways lodged triple-digit gains over last year with kids and posted a spirited 3.3 million total viewers. For the new, live-action comedy’s Saturday, July 13, primetime premiere (8:30 p.m. ET/PT), The Haunted Hathaways averaged a 5.5/1.8 MM among K2-11, up +234%; a 6.6/1.3 MM with K6-11, up +221%; and a 5.2/1.1 MM among Tween 9-14, up +98%.  The show’s 3.3 million total viewers also represents a +167% gain over last year.
Nickelodeon is up +9% over last year with kids and has posted year-ago gains almost every week in 2013, a performance further bolstered by three successful show launches in a row in just the first seven weeks of summer. The May 24 premiere of the animated Sanjay and Craig tallied 3.6 million total viewers; and launch to date, the series is averaging 3 million total viewers and posting double-digit gains with K2-11 (+23%) and K6-11 (+29%).  Nick’s live-action hit Sam & Cat scored 4.2 million total viewers for its June 8 debut, marking the net’s biggest live-action launch in three years.  Sam & Cat currently is averaging 3.2 million total viewers and also scoring double-digit gains with K2-11 (+81%) and K6-11 (+68%) over last year.
The Haunted Hathaways follows the adventures of a not-so-typical blended family. When Michelle Hathaway (Ginifer King) relocates to New Orleans, LA., to open a bakery with her daughters Taylor (Amber Montana) and Frankie (Breanna Yde), they quickly learn that life in the “Big Easy” is very different. Unbeknownst to them, their new home is already occupied by a ghost family comprised of jazz musician father Ray Preston (Chico Benymon), and his sons Miles (Curtis Harris) and Louie (Benjamin “Lil P-Nut” Flores Jr.).  After agreeing to live under one roof, they come to care about and rely on one another while driving each other crazy-- just like any normal family would. Though leery at first, the Hathaways soon discover how much fun life can be when living with ghosts. The series airs regularly on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon.

That’s really good for Nick, but sometime their press release numbers differ from this website’s numbers and The Futon Critic’s. Not saying this isn’t true, and if it is true great job!

dont judge me cuz im a disney fan, but i notice that when nickelodeon says total viewere, they mean for the whole weekend, not just the one premiere, i hope im wrong, but thats what they said when big time movie premiered, nickelodeon gave a press release stating they did 13million total viewers, but they only got 4 mill, it was 13 mill for the whole weekend, but if they did 3.3 mill on premiere night, well done, but i find the two small kids annoying on the show, everyone else are good

  • john

what really annoys me is that i thought how to rock, was a fun show, yes it used a lot of recycled jokes, but it was fun and bright, it shouldn’t of got cancelled, Im really happy that a non Dan Schneider show did well for once, because Im tired of his shows

  • Nathan

Don’t worry @bravod, these are exact numbers. I know when Nick lies in their press releases.

That’s awesome for THH! 3.3 million with less than two weeks of promotion!

Also Nickandmore confirmed it was 3.3 million viewers (it was probably 3.2 since Nick loves to round up, but we’ll see come Tuesday.)

  • john

But I’m happy for this, lets just hope LIV AND MADDIE, will do well too because Nickelodeon and Disney Channel will finally bring a BETTER GENERATION to Kids Tv 2012 was not there year

  • #bravod

I wonder what Sam and Cat got? Because these numbers are similar to How to Rock’s series premiere, and that episode of Victorious before it had 3.9 million. I doubt Sam and Cat got 3.9 though …

  • Nathan

Sam & Cat numbers? I hope Nick didn’t become cheap and only order numbers for The Haunted Hathaways..

  • LINDA

not saying this is bad, but do you remember way back when 3-4 million was average and sometime bad for disney channel and nickelodeon, now if you make more than 3 million your shows a hit, its just like the broadcasting networks 2012 to 2013 was a terrible year for television, most shows getting a demo of 2.0 and still got renewed

TV is changing. You can watch Tv now on iTunes, Hulu, get glue, and so many other different ways. There are also online viewing and episodes online, on Netflix, and on DVD. There is also so much competition! So nowlowerratings are acceptable, and finding kid shows with Hannah Montana ratings is pretty much impossible

  • Nathan

    Agreed @#bravod

I’m actually really surprised and happy for Nick. If anything, they can have one hour of succsessful live action shows in primetime! Because Nick has had no luck with Fred, Marvin Marvin, HTR, or Wendell and Vinnie. And Big time Thursdays is not doing well, especially for summer

  • Phil

It got ratings bump from Sam and Cat! If you move this show elsewhere on the schedule, it’s toast.

HH will not last more than 2 seasons. I don’t see the appeal in this show.

  • I luv nickelodeon

I actually enjoyed the haunted hathaways. It was pretty funny. I’ll be watching the next episode, but I grew the little girl is pretty annoying. And as for sam and cat I think it got at least 3.4 or 3.6. It wot reach 4 million anymore though. Lol. I wish they could bring back how to Rock.

  • Aron

    Bring back victorious
