Only surprise is OUATiW, but I guess they plan to air repeats in that slot.

  • Dennis

So pumped for The Neighbors :D

Lets be honest, OUATiW is going to tank

  • Cyrax86

Fantastic to see the Friday comedies premiering so early, last year they kicked off in November!

  • JJF

The original OUAT started in October so why not the spinoff? It probably will tank. But hopefully maybe that slot can launch something successful midseason. (Namely, Resurrection, or whatever the heck it’s title is now.) No surprises for anything else really. I hope Super Fun Night TANKS hard. Of all the new ABC comedies, it looks to be the worst. And on Wednesday night, it’d stick out like a sore thumb.

  • rob60990

Wow I didn’t expect these until their TCA.

    DWTS starting a week early.

What a waste of MF premiere lead-in.

I’m not shocked at the late start for OUATIW but I thought ABC would stretch out the premieres of the Tuesday shows.

  • John A

The Neighbours will tank on Fridays. Why did ABC renew that flop?

  • Pat

why abc didnt put OUATiW on at 9 after the original one and then revenge at 10 still makes no sense to me.

  • Dennis

@John A because it rated better then some of their other comedies??? Happy Endings, dont trust the b to name 2!

It will do just fine on fridays :D

  • Dennis

maybe they have little faith in it?

Or maybe it would feel like overkill since the interest in OUAT is obviously down

  • Bee

    FINALLY! damn it.

excited for so much. premiering all of the new tuesday together is a good idea. a whole new tuesday is a package they can sell and with SHIELD most likely to start big, it’ll be good to take advantage of it. i keep reading that trophy wife is one of the best, if not the best, comedy pilots of the season so i hope it doesn’t get lost in the shuffle.

YAY to a 2-hour grey’s. hopefully it can catch up on some of the ground it lost last season. but holy moly. season 10. wowza.

ugh, scandal is so far away :(

and HOORAY to nashville getting a 1-hour modern family lead in! MF doubling up is a good way for that show to make up some lost ground. and hopefully it helps nashville since people will be tuning in after that crazy cliffhanger. and fingers crossed that nashville’s crew figured out how to work out its kinks and deliver a better, more even season.

  • Dennis

@Bee I wouldn’t be surprised if Nashville’s season 2 premiere is its highest rated episode yet with the lead in from MF.

  • juan

I agree that I wouldn’t be surprised if Nashville premiers high, I hope so anyway. Also I don’t think its a bad thing for OUAT in wonderland premiers late, they get to promote it during the original and I hope it surprised everyone by being a hit like the original. Everyone thought that would flop.

  • Liz

Here is too hoping OUAT in Wonderland kicks TBBT collective mainstreaming ass.

  • Dennis

ROFL that is never going to happen!! :D

  • Dan

Good with the one hour episode of Modern Family now it and The Middle won’t air their 100th episodes of the same date

Modern Family 100th ep. Oct 9

The Middle 100th ep Oct 16

  • Dan

Also I wonder if ABC will pull an NBC and hold back The Neighbors and Last Man Standing to air in place of failed comedies like NBC did last year with Community and Whitney

  • rob60990

“Also I wonder if ABC will pull an NBC and hold back The Neighbors and Last Man Standing to air in place of failed comedies like NBC did last year with Community and Whitney”

They’re not holding back. Both shows are premiering Sept 20th unlike what NBC did with Whitney & Community which were both originally going to premiere in the end of October.

  • Liz

@dennis so what? TBBT was not even that great to begin with. But I guess people like mediocure and predictable. To be fair I think OUAT in Wonderland is going for a different audience though and Vampire Diaries will be the biggest loser.

  • Tom Shaw

The only real surprise is The Neighbors.

With 3 new comedies in Fall, and only one other spackle candidate (Suburgatory) waiting in the wings, I thought ABC might delay The Neighbors to see if they needed it elsewhere. Instead, ABC has apparently decided its 22 episodes are Friday-only, barring total freshmen failure.

Then again, ABC has joined the list of networks that just let failures sit until they can quietly be removed during the Holiday lull. Even if Super Fun Night was somehow a catastrophe, it seems highly likely ABC would just swap it with one of the other freshmen (probably Trophy Wife, The Goldbergs smells DOA) and continue airing new SFN episodes on Tuesday.

I want it to be Sept 29 now so I can see the Revenge premiere :3
