For the week of July 8, 2013, Disney Channel delivered another clean sweep across major youth demos, ranking as TV’s #1 network in Total Day across Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11 and Tweens, marking the network’s 7th consecutive weekly sweep and over 2 years atop all TV in Kids 6-11/Tweens. Impressively, this week stood as Disney Channel’s most-watched week in 27 weeks in Kids 2-11 and Kids 6-11, and its 2nd-most-watched week of the year overall, behind only holiday week 12-31/12. Disney Junior on Disney Channel aired the week’s Top 2 cable TV series in Kids 2-5, Top 3 cable TV series in Girls 2-5 and Top 4 preschool cable TV series in Total Viewers led by Sofia the First and Doc McStuffins.
24-hour Disney Junior Channel soared to record highs in Total Viewers, Girls 2-5 and Women 18-49, and delivered its #2 week ever in Kids 2-5. The channel ranked as the #1 preschool TV network for the 15th consecutive week in Kids 2-5 and Boys 2-5 – each week since reporting public ratings – and was #1 for the 14th time in the previous 15 weeks in Total Viewers. Disney Junior Channel surpassed Nick Jr. for the 15th straight week in Kids 2-5 and Boys 2-5, and for the 14th time in the prior 15 weeks in Total Viewers, and out-delivered Sprout by triple-digits across all target demos.
