CBS has released a sneak peek of the key art designs for the Network’s new fall 15-episode thriller HOSTAGES.  The designs will be featured at Comic-Con this week and will begin appearing in print, online and outdoor later this summer.

HOSTAGES, from executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer, to premiere Monday, Sept. 23 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT), is a high-octane suspense drama starring Emmy Award winner Toni Collette as a premiere surgeon thrust into a chilling political conspiracy when her family is taken hostage by rogue FBI agent Duncan Carlisle (Dylan McDermott).  Dr. Ellen Sanders and her family are held captive in their home by Carlisle, a desperate man doing the wrong thing for the right reasons, who orders her to assassinate the President when she operates on him.

The print designs feature Collette and McDermott in one version together and in two alternate versions, individually.

    15 episodes ? I thought it was 13.

    Assuming Hostages does well how will they drag it out to a 2nd season ? It is a limited run series so will they have a different storyline in a 2nd season if it is a hit ?

    This is dreadful art!!! Photo is creepy and the lettering is worse. I’ve never before viewed TV art that made me not want to see the show. Homeland had great titles…still looking forward to the pilot.

    @Dan S
    I hope it stays 15 eps no matter what and they end it and wrap up.
    It seems to me like a filler show that will be there to compete with The Voice lead-out before Inteligence premieres.

    why do the posters say MONDAYS 10 PM CBS(eye)2?
    what does the “2” mean?

    Who knows…maybe It could be like a ’24’ style show. Like the plot of 24 started of with an assassination attempt of the president , which sounded weak, but it ended up working and turning into a different story every season. And with 15 episodes, it just might work.

    Hostages looks to be one of the TV’s biggest disappointments of the season. Dylan McDermott’s character is sometime two dimensional and a character people usually loves to hate. :-(

  • Tony JJ

    I’m very excited for this show but I am hoping it’s good because I have doubts. And it could go on for more seasons. Just because the first season is about her operating on the president, the second season could be about another hostage situation or something else. Sometimes you just gotta have faith to the creators. This show is called “hostages” not “president on the operating table”. There can be a different plot in the second season.
