CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program with adults 25-54 – the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news – viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for July 14, 2013. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.3/10 with 4.69m viewers and a 1.2/07 in adults 25-54.
Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +7% in adults 25-54 (1.5/07 from 1.4/07) and up +8% in both households (3.9/11 from 3.6/10) and viewers (5.57m from 5.16m) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast featured an encore of the CBS SUNDAY MORNING future-themed edition and included Rita Braver’s interview with Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt, Mo Rocca’s report on the accuracy of forecasters of the future throughout history, Tracy Smith’s interview with actor Jeremy Irons and his efforts to make people aware of the growing trash problem, Serena Altschul’s story on the new wave in
3D printing and what it will mean for the advancement of medicine and industry, and Barry Petersen’s report on the search for new planets and extraterrestrial life.
