CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program with adults 25-54 – the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news – as well as viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for July 21, 2013. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.2/09 with 4.25m viewers and a 1.0/06 in adults 25-54.
Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +7% in adults 25-54 (1.5/07 from 1.4/07) and up +8% in both households (3.9/11 from 3.6/10) and viewers (5.54m from 5.14m) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast featured Sharyl Attkisson’s report on the Livestrong Foundation following the departure of founder and scandal-scarred cyclist Lance Armstrong, Tracy Smith’s visit to the Dallas home where Lee Harvey Oswald lived before the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Erin Moriarty’s report on the true story behind the critically praised film “Fruitvale Station,” and Lee Cowan’s profile of pop-music heartthrob Bruno Mars.
