The Endless Thirst

Last week, Under the Dome rose to a 2.8 from the previous week's 2.7 adults 18-49 rating. Now that the series has just been renewed, will it continue this upward trend? Make your predictions below and tell us why in the comments!

This show is bad yet I can’t stop watching it.

  • Dennis

    A new low

    (Although I’d hardly call 2.6 a low :) )

The renewal might hurt it some people are already get frusated and want to know how the dome got there . and also most people thought it was a mini series so I’m going with a 2.6

  • Samuel

I’ll say another 2.8. Last week’s episode FINALLY revealed SOMETHING about the Dome, unlike the first 4 episodes. It also started a lot of new plotlines. Plus, all the buzz it’s getting for the renewal can’t hurt.

Definitely steady at 2.8, if not a 2.9 which is highly possible. UTD keeps getting better and better episody by episode!!!!

  • Anon

    2.7 to 2.8

I realize that straddles 2 poll choices, but I don’t think there is a dime’s difference, really.

  • Tanner

    It will get 2.0

Meh, this show will continue to be a big hit even though it’s so bad that it’s actually unwatchable. Meanwhile the gem that is Siberia (a show so bad it’s actually very entertaining [much like my personal favorite cancelled Summer show of the past 4 years, Persons Unknown]) will continue on it’s decent until it joins Do No Harm and, eventually, Crossing Lines on Saturday.

Its not going to go that low at all for the WHOLE season!

    Move on Hater :D

  • Tanner

@Dennis The show sucks and for it’s first season it’s doing poorly compared to Big Brother in its 15 Season and America’s got talent

  • Dennis

    ROFL !! D

    Doing poorly??

Its the Highest rated original summer drama since 1994!! LOL

    Move along..

Doesn’t UTD usually outrate both BB and AGT?

  • Dennis

    LOL You’re actually wrong!!

America’s Got Talent has only beaten Under the Dome ONCE!! HAHA

Under the Dome has been the #1 Series Every week except for the 1 week AGT beat it..so Suck it! haha

  • Dennis

Under the DOME trashes Big Brother Every week and has Beaten AGT every week except for 1 week

  • Jake

Can’t wait for it to fall this week!!!!!!!!! :)

Renewing the show and saying the second season will start in Chester’s Mill is both good and bad for the series. Good that a series that did so well in the ratings will be renewed; bad that starting the second season in Chester’s Mill means those people are not getting out this year. If the second season was set in another location trapped under a dome, it might mean that the Chester’s Mill residents might find a way to escape, but, since there’s no chance of that happening, the ratings might not remain so high. It could turn into a “Gilligan’s Island” type series with a group of trapped people who want to leave their limited caged surrounding, but, can not do so.
Since they have not explained what caused the dome to form over Chester’s Mill in the first place, what happened there could in theory occur almost anywhere else on Earth. If there is a third season for Under the Dome, CBS might want to think about having another location trapped under a dome, (other than Chester’s Mill).

Can we be done with the polls. It will stay in the 2.6-2.8 range so who cares.

I thought this was a mini series? I guess the definition of mini series now is that it only runs 6 eps a season. I wonder though if people watching the show thought they were watching an old fashioned mini series that was going to have an actual end when they would find out what was going on? That may actually hurt the show if it just drags on and continues to basically be a soap drama only difference being a dome but hey, get the ratings while you can. lol
