    Wow LHHATL! I watched it last season and I loved it but I haven’t had the chance to watch it much this year!
    Great for RHOC, still going strong in its 8th season, the finale next week will be good!

  • Louise

    Wow THE FOSTERS, just, Wow! Still at first season and It’s already stands in the same ground as it’s lead-in SaB, even beat it last week. Such a gifted show.

  • Louise

    EDIT: oh just realized fosters already beat sab & even teen wolf in total viewers since last 1-2 weeks. ABCFam must be very happy as it’s the only their new scripted show that can really pull the numbers this season.

  • Matt

    a 0.8 rating for Teen Wolf is good??

  • cimmer

    King and Maxwell is losing a lot of MC’s viewers and their demo; I agree with some other posters, whether TNT targets 25-54 demo or not, that’s not a good showing for K&M.

  • Billiam

    The Fosters slipped a little in the target demographic but total viewers is the same.

    Some are saying that it will get 1.0+ when it returns in the winter. I disagree. I think we will see either steady ratings (0.6-0.7) or a decline in the winter to about 0.5. If they keep the total viewers to 1.5M+, they will be renewed for a 2nd season.

    Bunheads dipped below 1M overall and was getting 0.4 at the end. That’s why they got cancelled. It’s all about the $$$ and what they can sell to the sponsors.

    My thoughts on The Fosters is that they are spending too much time building the parents characters and the gay angle and not enough time building the kids characters and their histories. Frankly, I was surprised that they didn’t have the surgeon refuse to do the surgery without ‘legal consent’., refusing to let the other mom signed the consent forms because they aren’t legally married. Then, her religious dad would have had to be involved… But, sometimes, they go there and other times, they just lightly touch on an angle… Thank Goodness that ABC isn’t as bad as NBC. On NBC, it seems like they call the President to get his approval before running any story… ABC isn’t quite that bad.. yet.

    @Billiam

    I was thinking the same thing with regard to the domestic partnership angle. I thought they wouldn’t even let Lena see Stef… but California (prior to the Prop 8/DOMA rulings) did fully recognize the rights of domestic partners. I’d be more surprised if they didn’t touch on this angle in a state south of Maryland, which doesn’t recognize gay marriage, nor domestic partnerships. Thankfully, we’re not watching a show about a gay couple in that region of the country, or it’d just be painful!

  • PurpleDrazi

    they are spending too much time building the parents characters and the gay angle and not enough time building the kids characters and their histories.

    I don’t know, I think they have covered a lot of Callie’s backstory already and Jesus and Mariana have had major storylines as well. The last two episodes have been rather parent heavy though so I could see how it would seem that way.

    Well, now that they have their backorder (and probably a second season) there will be lots of time to spend on the kids. Plenty of teen drama for everyone.

  • Ronnie

    LAHHA is my guilty pleasure. It is a really silly show but I can’t stop watching it. That Stevie J is a mess. HTF is a really good show. I’m hooked. TEEN WOLF is my fav right now. It is really good this season.

  • redbirds

    First it was flavor of love now this crap. Why do people watch this stuff?

  • Billiam

    When I was 18 and living in Texas, I was living with an older woman and the state considered us married even without the paper saying we were. I wonder if it is still that way in Texas and if so, does it also spread to gay couples? I doubt it since all room mates would be considered married by law. Honestly, I think half of the country support gay marriage (within state law). I’m OK with it as long ss it doesn’t force churches to marry gay couples if they don’t believe in it. Nobody should be forced to do something against their belief system. But, I support gay marriage for legal (and obviously love) issues like getting health insurance, defining who is family, etc. And, I’m a conservative but not totally to the right. I think most Americans are middle of the road like I am. I knew people when I lived in Alabama that would bomb the studio just for airing this show. In Florida, where I live now, there is more tolerance than I ever seen anywhere else. That’s why the Zimmerman trial upset me so much. People here either get along well or just leave each other alone. There weren’t any riots until the National Racism Machine showed up…

  • Billiam

    @redbirds

    If you are speaking of the gay angle, I don’t think you are ever going to get away from it… the only non-Liberal media is Fox and they will all push the Liberal agenda. We may see a male gay president before we see a female president… look at what is happening in New York, a man who is cheating on his wife is the pick for Mayor over a lesbian… and that is a liberal city.

    The star of ABC Family’s Kyle XY came out and announced that he was gay in January. 30 years ago, Disney (who owns ABC) would have distanced itself from Matt Dallas. Now, they rejoice! Good Old Walt is turning over in his grave.

    We will never see another Pollyanna from Disney, that’s for sure, because of the church angle.

    I was watching old episodes of Joan of Arcadia last night and they were used the gay angle there too… I had not remembered that.

    My only advice to you is: if it bothers you, you can simply switch the channel.

    The sad thing is that many Christian families used to let their kids watch the Disney channel. Now, parents are beginning to filter which programs their children watch from the Disney Channel…

  • JJ

    @Billiam

    Yeah, over 35 states have constitutional amendments against gay marriage and many have taken the topic to the ballot since Massachusetts legalized gay marriage in ’04 (with my state of NC being the last to do that last year, sadly). I feel like Texas wouldn’t extend the common law marriage statutes to gay couples as they were one of the last states to have gay sodomy laws (which were all appealed in 2003 by the Supreme Court). I know a family friend who has been with the same man for fifteen years, but NC doesn’t recognize common law marriages, gay or straight. Had no idea that NY’s competitor was a lesbian… not like I’ve read a single story that has mentioned his competitor, so I’m glad I came back to check this page out!

    Good for Switched at Birth and the Fosters. I was hoping the Fosters would have a .8 again. But, a .7 is still good. I hope the Fosters goes up next week for the finale.
