    About Mistresses

    – (2 weeks ago): ABC has quietly extended the options on the show’s core cast through the end of September.

    – It also has better demos than other shows (Motive, Rookie Blue, …)

    – For weeks now, the show gradually rises.

    – VS Under the demo!!!!

    Ok, thanks.

The 3 week hiatus of #Mistresses is due to the CMA’s and 3hr Bachelorette. In case anyone was wondering. ???? (via Rochelle Aytes).

@joe Your right…..yet it’s still better than 90% of what else is on TV…

Mistresses would do a lot better at 9 pm like Desperate Housewives without the UTD competition.there are lots of empty time slots in summer.why air it against UTD? Even if the wives wanted to watch it,the husbands would snatch the remote and tune into UTD.i prefer Mistresses.UTD doesnt excite me at all.

The problem with Revolution is that it’s too methodical. It has it’s share of psychopaths but they are too methodical in their habits. The writer tried to break some of those char molds near the end, but by then it was too late.

Under the Dome is anything but methodical. It keeps the viewer guessing what will happen next. It keeps the viewer on their heels with surprises. A looter riot in Revolution would be expected, but in a close knit community like Chester Mills it’s not. Nor is the brutality at which it’s carried out.

Under the Dome has proven that you don’t need the Zombies to produce gripping human vs human drama in an apocalyptic setting. I think we can look forward to more of this kind of drama coming to TV in the near future.

It will take a few yrs, but I think we will see revenge of the broadcast networks strike a blow to cable. One day CBS will have several sister channels in the top 25 markets & that will enable it to sell a show like UTD on total day #’s as well. In Boston alone, you need just a strong antenna to receive as many as 80 channels for free. With the sister channel space I see broadcast competing with cable again for major sports programming as well.

Regardless of the show’s quality, UTD is becoming a summer hit with these numbers. Obviously people do keep watching, with 11 million at week 6.

I don’t understand the appeal of a scripted show pretending to be a reality show. The proliferation of reality shows is bad enough.

There’s nothing good about Under The Dome. There are plenty of other, better options, even in the summer. But for some reason I keep watching.

After adjustments, voters predictions were pretty spot on.

  • Simno

Under the Dome, again, steady as she goes! If these numbers continue next season then you can sure as hell bet that there will be a 3rd season!

I have some mixed feeling about Under The Dome , But that said , at least I do not feel like I want to beat the crap out of the characters as often , PLUS ,, is classic Stephen King Mini Series Energy :)

  • JR35

Yay for UTD. I agree that it’s not a GREAT show. But, it’s watchable and just has this aura that makes you wanna keep tuning in. Not sure how it can go on as a regular series- but we’ll see. Maybe Over the Dome? :)

  • John A

UTD quality has improved. The past 2 episodes were great.

Ratings for Under the Dome so far, demo ratings:

    01×01: ”Pilot” – 3.3
    01×02: ”The Fire” – 2.9
    01×03: ”Manhunt” – 2.7
    01×04: ”Outbreak” – 2.7
    01×05: ”Blue on Blue” – 2.8
    01×06: ”The Endless Thirst” – 2.8

So for those who claim that the show is ‘Dropping week after week’, this proves you wrong. It is steady as hell!

Motive/Rookie Blue are Canadian imports. Costs of the show are shared.

  • brutony!

So, NBC is shipping off Siberia to Siberia?
