In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.3/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.6/7; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.9/5.

In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 0.7/3; "Late Show," 0.7/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.8/4.

From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/3 in metered-market households and a 0.4/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) tied CBS's "Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson" (1.2/4).  In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/3 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.3/2).

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

I watched Mistresses’ first episode a little over a week ago and dayum!…it’s so good! Josslyn’s character is hilarious! I watched all episodes in order to get caught up. I really hope it does get picked up for a 2nd Season!!

  • CS’ Revenge

Another consistent effort out of UTD but a drop from last week in viewership.

American Ninja Warrior has quietly been doing well for NBC. NBC should bring back a show like Battle of the Network Stars to go with Warrior or some of those ABC Wide World of Sports shows that appealed to the masses back in the day.

Speaking of ABC they finally got some mileage on a low-rated of The Bachelorette and Mistresses has been consistent, to me that’s becoming a lot more important than the actual ratings themselves during the summer.

FOX really needs to stop repeating these low-rated comedies. The whole point of network sitcoms is to make money on them in syndication and if they can’t even repeat worth a damn then why keep them?

  • JayNYC

What the HELL? I thought Under the Dome was a miniseries, which is the ONLY reason I’m been watching this crap.

There’s no way I’ll keep watching it and am only seeing it due to recording it at this point. I’m out.

  • CS’ Revenge

    @ jimmer

I was hearing that its better than Desperate Housewives and I’ll have to check it out for myself, I initially wanted to get into it anyways to support Alyssa Milano.

  • CS’ Revenge

    @ JayNYC

I think Under the Dome should’ve been a mini-series, I can see it falling off next year.

Thanks for all your responses – although where has it repeated?…and they ran the promo now 2 weeks in a row…? (Scratching my head)

  • Dennis

Wow that Latina cop on UTD is smokin’

Mistresses is doing good and I’m glad because I like that show. The ladies are hot and the Lesbian scenes are pretty epic. Mistresses is doing way better than Hannibal did (after episode 4)and is on par with Deception (maybe better)?

  • Michael

    Dan S,

    You should watch Devious Maids!

I just read on another site Switched at Birth is renewed for another season and they are ordering more episodes of both The Fosters and Twisted. I understand The Fosters but not Twisted. Thats really stupid if ya ask me.. but whatever ill watch it dip to .3

  • BigBrotherFan

Denise Richards is a smokin’ Milf don’t trash her show!

  • LisaM

Under the Dome was a bit disappointing last night. More brutality and less “Jericho”. Some plot holes, and puzzles I do hope get answered soon as I hate things being dragged out ala “Lost”. Still, nothing else on Mondays.

  • cas

Just wondering what the most watched show on Amazon instant? I don’t think I know yet after reading all these posts. I think UTD just proves that people really don’t have much to choose from in the summer, so if you put together a show that could interest just about every demographic, it’ll get watched. I mean men aren’t really going to watch Mistresses most likely. Also, since people don’t have much else to watch in summer and people tell them “Hey UTD is pretty good”, they are inevitably going to try to stream it and watch it. However, I read a lot of stuff about UTD and I think it seems like it is not even that good of a show. People are just surprised and impressed with their numbers, and the fact that it airs on CBS (which is like the common channel TV’s are on usually), is helping keep the ratings up. Not sure if that makes sense but in my mind it does.

  • Cath

Don’t know why the headline for the initial ratings always touts something as “dipping,” as it did for “Under the Dome.”. It is usually the case that a show like this picks up one or two decimal points when the final count comes in. Eleven million viewers is good by any standard. That has remained steady. And, yes, I know we look at the demo, but pulling that number of viewers on a Monday, in the summer, in the 11/10 time slot, is impressive. Shows that people are bothering to find the show and watch.

  • The milk man

Wow NBC is in a free fall.

  • C

UTD is very good! There will be a second season next summer!

  • Penny

Love Mistresses, fingers crossed for a 2nd season.

  • Carol

Love The Bachelorette! And Mistress’s! The ending this coming Monday should produce even higher ratings for the Bachelorette. It’s all anyone is talking about on twitter, & blogs. Hope Des finds happiness.
