    Picking up: 2 broke Girls

    Returning Shows: Mother, TBBT, Amazing Race, Chicago Fire, Nashville (although we are down to one likable character on the whole show, and she has just one facial expression), Last Man standing, Hart of Dixie

    Trial Runs: pretty much every new comedy but Mom, Reign and the one with Miranda Otto, can’t remember the name

    This just includes Network shows, my cable staples are mostly summer shows.

  • Ram510

    Where’s America’s Next Top Model?

  • Anna Bones Clarkwood

    HV, Glee will take an extended break after ep3…Postseason Baseball will air then, come probably Jan, the 19 other episodes will run almost straight through.

    Cory’s death & Finn’s integral part of Glee s5 plans have the writers scrambling to figure out the episodes, after ep3.

  • ShellyC

    Looking most forward to BIG BANG THEORY and GRIMM returning!!!!

    And, new shows.. Sleepy Hollow, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the Crazy Ones, and Michael J. Fox Show.

    Mid-season, Believe, Rake and Intelligence.

    I’ll also continue to watch New Girl, the Mindy Project, Arrow, Elementary, Parenthood (on DEMAND), and Raising Hope (on DEMAND).

    I’ll check out BLACKLIST, the MILLERS(of course)and possibly WE ARE MEN.

  • http://tvbythenumbers.com Robert Seidman

    @Ram: it premieres tomorrow so I didn’t include it in the fall list.

  • Kissan

    @HV

    For your NBC Schedule, I don’t think Revolution will get cancelled as I think it will do pretty good. Ironside will get cancelled and I think Chicago PD will take its place but I don’t think its gonna get cancelled. WTTF will probably get cancelled(even though I like the trailer)and Parks & Rec will take its place while Community goes to 8:00. Parenthood will definitely not get cancelled. Hannibal will probably be on Mondays so it can get more exposure from The Voice but I don’t think it will stay on Mondays cause Under The Dome will probably stay there next summer so I think it will go to Wednesdays after AGT next summer.

  • HV

    @Kissan
    Hostages faces tough competition. I think that one of Hostages and Intelligence will get canceled and one will get renewed. It’s hard to say which is which though. The Crazy Ones has popular actors, but the premise is too odd. I read an early review of the pilot, and apparently it wasn’t very good. I doubt that We Are Men will do very poorly. I want Friends with Better Lives to get onto the schedule, but I doubt it will until summer, if it does at all, might just end up online or never airing. Same for Bad Teacher and Reckless, although Reckless may end up on the schedule at Fridays at 8:00 starting in January.

  • Kissan

    @HV

    I don’t think ABC will cancel The Goldbergs just bcause it had a large drop from SHIELD. As long as it has over a 2.5 I don’t think it’ll get cancelled. Plus it’ll be a big gain over last year with Happy Endings. I don’t think Nashville will be cancelled as Betrayal, Lucky 7, SFN, as well as all the midseason dramas and comedies Mind Games, Killer Women, Mixology and Resurrection all look like they’re gonna be cancelled.

  • HV

    @Kissan
    I disagree, I think that The Tomorrow People will be canceled. Beauty and the Beast I expect to be canceled in May. It seems like we agree on The CW, except for The Tomorrow People.

  • Kissan

    @HV

    I just had a feeling Hostages will be renewed over Intelligence because CBS is promoting it SO MUCH. Also said for TCO. I think We Are Men and The Millers will do poorly and be replaced by M&M and Friends With Better Lives. I don’t know where Bad Teacher is gonna go. I agree with you about Reckless though.

  • Joe

    I’m looking forward to
    Parenthood (best show on tv)
    Blacklist
    Big Bang Theory
    Michael J Fox Show
    Sean saves the world
    Nashville
    Chicago PD

    I’m dropping, bc they got awful:
    How I Met Your Mother
    2 Broke Girls
    Once Upon a Time
    Modern Family

  • HV

    @Kissan
    I think that Welcome to the Family will be very much a bubble show, and will get renewed, but held for midseason in 2014-15. I think that Revolution will fail not being after The Voice. I think that Chicago PD will be canceled. It wasn’t a good idea for NBC to pick it up. I think that NBC will keep Hannibal on Mondays. UTD will likely fall in season two, especially if it’s up against a show that already has an audience. I doubt that Parenthood will be back for season 6. I don’t know if it will be canceled or ended, but I don’t expect to see it back.

    By the way, do you have thoughts on my Fox schedule?

  • HV

    @Kissan
    I think that The Goldbergs will have poor retention from SHIELD, and be canceled.

  • Joe

    and am I the only one that thinks that Hostages is a kinda a copy off last years Mob Doctor. Even though Mob Doctor was bad, Hostages is still copying off them. Im going to avoid Hostages this year

  • Billiam

    @Nathan, unless you are a Nielson household, whether you watch live or not doesn’t matter. Get a DVR. They are cheap now. My cable network rents them for $8/month…

  • HV

    @Kissan
    I don’t think that We Are Men will do poorly.

  • HV

    @Anna Bones Clarkwood
    Is it for sure that Glee will take a break? That show is going to be nearly impossible to schedule this year if they do take a break.

  • Joe

    I think the Michael J Fox show will be renewed for a second season. BC the show has been highly anticipated and NBC has been airing promos for it allot. Im not so sure about Sean Saves the World. Even though Sean Hayes has a strong fan base, he is not as famous as MJF is. They both look funny though

  • Alan

    I think the CW will end up cancelling Beauty and the Beast (it will die on Mondays), Reign, The Carrie Diaries (sadly, I love it, but I see it coming), and one of the two midseason shows (The 100 and Starcrossed).

  • Anna Bones Clarkwood

    @HV,

    Both FOX Head & Ryan Murphy, have given press releases saying they, GLEE, will be on “extended break” after ep3.

    They also said prior to Cory’s death, that they wanted s5 to run with as few breaks as possible aka “straight through”. So, that’s why I’m thinking Jan-May with very few 1 week breaks.

    Prior to Cory’s death they were planning on not “fighting” with Baseball Postseason Scheduling so probably they only are taking away like 1 or 2 episodes (the 17th & the 24th), b/c of Cory, for the initial start of the season. They weren’t planning on November/December New Glee episodes, prior to Cory’s Death.

    I think they can tack on the 17th & 24th to Jan-May. If XFactor doesn’t take up 2hrs in November/Dec, they can premiere some new series.
