The Season Finales of ‘All My Children’ & “One Live To Live” have been announced, unfortunately!!

‘One Live To Live’ August 19,2013, ‘All My Children’ September 2 2013

No Premiere dates have been announced as of late!

    Probably January 2014!

Enjoying all the soaps lately. I think GH is really good as is, Y&R and B&B. Also, Julian Jerome (aka Derek) is most certainly Sam’s dad on GH. Jerry Jacks would not have worked because it would have made Jasper Jacks, Sam’s uncle and they slept together when she first came on the show. That would have been a hot mess trying to explain all of that, LOL! I agree with the poster who mentioned hiring Maura West as Ava was genius. She is terrific in the role! I will be glad when they find out Summer is really Nick’s on Y&R and on B&B, I want Wyatt and Hope together. So over the Liam storyline!

  • Melanie P.

Also on Y&R, Melanie is going to stick it to Adam, should be fun trying to watch her bring him down. I will say good luck with that though, lol.

  • Jeff

Good for all the soaps! Glad to see all up in viewers by some to a lot, and 3 out of 4 up in the 18 to 49 demo. Not many primetime shows can say that.

  • Leigh

Good for Days! Loving Days of Our Lives right now. Kristen, Brady, EJami, Nick, WilSon, Justin/Adrienne, Theresa. Wish they’d bring back Vargas for Hope. They need to “kill” Bo if Peter Reckell is not coming back and give Hope a storyline again.

  • Sedgrick

DAYS is doing amazing the stories are amazing and the only problem is Dannifer nobody likes them only Ken Corday thinks their a supercouple and everbody knows they aren’t Will and Sonny are the best shot for your last supercouple but other than that everything is amazing and you cant get the full value of a soap if you don’t watch it everyday and the people who are putting DAYS down but putting GH up is just pathetic.

  • Nick

    @Sean

Sorry, but you don’t realize how laughable you come across, throwing around the “GO GH!” pom-poms on weeks when the ratings barely inch up, when you are/were nowhere to be found during every week the show is/was down. Why not actually show support and/or express opinions when the show is going through down periods too?

Bex is correct- Don’t come on here pounding your chest that GH is “solid as a stone” (LOL-that’s hilarious) in response to a tiny increase when the show was tanking for the better part of two months. No matter what you type, these numbers for GH still DO NOT appear to be anything to write home about. And if you really think that anyone who disagrees with your excessive cheer-leading or does not think that GH is “AWESOME” (that’s your OPINION, NOT a fact) is a “hater” (that’s the most overused, tired, juvenile term I’ve ever heard, reserved for people who refuse to tolerate others), then you are completely paranoid and need to go somewhere else. Yes, some people like GH currently, and I fully respect that. But I and many others don’t and we’re entitled to feel that way too without being bullied with your garbage like “HAHA” in return. Stay classy, man.

Different strokes for different folks. You have no right to come on here hollering in capital letters to try to force your opinion on others, man. This is not a soap opera fan site.

I have watched Days of Our Lives for 45 years. It is the best it has ever been. Hate to read that Kristen will be leaving. She has so many ways to turn Salem on it’s ear…She is a hoot…Sami and EJ are perfect in every scene and I hate to see bashing of Sami Ej….The young actors have done an sensational job and have great futures…Love, love DOOL…Keep up the good work..

My biggest fear is what the cable and satellite outages are going to do to the CBS shows in the coming weeks. Esp. if they don’t get agreements reached in a timely fashion. I know that some Dish uses have lost the CBS stations and now Time Warner is out on CBS too.

  • Mike

I was looking at the same week of ratings in 2012 and it’s interesting Days had a good week the last week of July last year too:

Total Viewers for week of July 23-27, 2012:

    Total Viewers
    1. Y&R 4,329,000 (-60,000/-449,000)
    2. B&B 3,049,000 (-91,000/+61,000)
    3. DAYS 2,481,000 (+103,000/+31,000)
    4. GH 2,432,000 (-13,000/-77,000)

Interesting to note that both Days & B&B have been up year over year for 2 years now for that week anyway.

And look how much Y&R was down from 2011. Nice to see that the show has gained back so much of that loss.

  • Sedgrick

@Mike that is really interesting but Days & B&B have been going up a lot from year to year especially B&B how do they go up that high if they keep going the way they are going they might take over Y&R in the future.

  • Kelby

    Y&R and DOOL s.ck!

I don’t know when Prospect Park will learn. They are the most schizophrenic company I have ever seen. They have such success with other shows but they run AMC and OLTL as if this is their first ever venture into entertainment at all.

They should have known that announcing end of season dates without announcing dates for when the next season would start would cause trouble. And it has. Not the same panic that started with many of their other decisions.

If they take a break as long as some are saying there is no way they will do as many episodes this year as they promised — even the number after they reduced the number.

  • Mike

Wow just saw the announcement on SON that OWN is cutting out all the reruns of the AMC and OLTL shows….just cutting it back to an hour…back to back airings.

I suspect that the whole combined viewing wasn’t holding up to what aired in the times slots and they decided to cut to just the first run episodes.

Will be interesting to see how they do with yet another schedule change.

  • me

Hater and Lovers alike should realize that GH is dead last in the ratings of all soap operas. That can not be spun any other way. And it gets less viewers than infomercials shown at 2 AM; hardly anything to celebrate.

  • jonboyelk

@Mike. I know I wad personally confused by the OWN schedule. This one makes more sense. But I’m a but disappointed I didn’t learn this earlier and was able to reprogram my DVR before I left for my two week vacation. Now I will be out of the OLTL loop….again.

  • Chris

@Nick, I agree with you 100% about Sean (see comment #1). It just shows how desperate this guy (troll) is when he has to latch on to, boast about, and exaggerate any tiny uptick in GH’s low numbers. I too notice that he never shows up when the ratings are tanking (most weeks, recently). What a coincidence. And for someone to show off to everyone just how delusional they are with the very first comment? Downright pathetic.

And I couldn’t agree more about the term “hater”. I’m so beyond sick and tired of seeing some commenters use that term. Memo to those people: grow up already! All it does is illustrate that you’re an immature baby who cannot tolerate anyone with a different opinion or taste than you. In other words, “No matter what I think, my opinion is the only one that counts. I’m right and you’re dead wrong.” What total BS. It makes you look very small. Understand already that just because you personally like a certain show, that does not mean that everyone else in society does, and those people have a right to express themselves without that rude treatment in return. Quit it already!!

Funny, no one seems to have a problem with criticism of other soaps. But god forbid, if someone dares to criticize GH, it’s like that person committed a federal crime. Stop being so sensitive!

I’m glad GH and DAYS are doing well. I have fond memories of watching them in the ’80s and ’90s. I still return to watch them when they have good storylines. Lately that has not been the case (for me). But I’m glad other people are enjoying them. Don’t want to see them cancelled. The lack of romance in recent years, however, has lost my interest. I think both soaps would do better if they had some true love.

  • hannah

GH and DAYS showcase some ‘true love’ but maybe it is not the ‘true love’ you want..question of taste, opinion and perspective..anyway right now these soaps do quite well let’s hope it stays that way..ratings and audience are a very fickle animal…
