The Killing Season 3

Sunday's season finale of AMC's drama series The Killing garnered 1.5 million total viewers, up from 1.4 for the season two finale. The finale earned a 1.2 Household rating, up 9 percent from a 1.1 for the season two finale on June 17, 2012. However, the finale's ratings were down from 1.8 million viewers and a 1.4 Household rating for the season 3 premiere. We will post additional demographics when we receive them.

this has been an spectacular season of television. amc is foolish if they don’t renew this show.

  • A

    Praying for Season 4

  • Tal Avraham

That’s not great, god I want a season 4, but it doesn’t seem that way :(

  • Simon Jester

What a collection of brilliant performances this season. Here’s hoping for a four-peat.

  • Dennis

    Great season….but I won’t hold my breath for a season 4.

Considering it was down from the low rated premiere…

  • NickS

Great show and the acting is fabulous. Going up against GOT and True Blood is never easy.

  • Bjm

I sure do hope they do a season 4. Season 3 was great!

  • Dennis

Also the season 2 finale got 1.45 million viewers.
So if season 3 could only manage 1.50 thats not that great.

It appears that alot was riding on the finale numbers for a renewal according to recent interviews with the creators

  • Janus

Deadline reports that season 4 renewal hasn’t been decided yet but sources say it looks good.

  • D. Fernandes

Couldn’t that be the first season? By a mile the best season of the show, i hope AMC notices it…

  • Sandra

Please, Please, Please!!!! A 4th season!

  • samurai99

No demo numbers included. That’s telling.

  • Joe

Ratings this season weren’t much different than last season. I’m hoping for a Season 4, but I wouldn’t be surprised if AMC pulled the plug on this show again, because it doesn’t seem like the show’s ratings are ever gonna get any better, especially back to where they were in Season 1.

How is possible that The Killing had only 1.5 million people watching the season finale? Its storyline is completely more interesting than The Walking Dead’s storyline. I love The Walking Dead, but I have to be honest at the point of saying that its acting/story has only zombies, zombies, zombies and more zombies! The Killing has a terrific story, and there are excellent actors in there, such as Mireille Enos, and Joel Kinnaman.
I really hope that AMC renew it, but I don’t know. If they don’t, I hope another channel take it!

  • Benny

I was not as clear as I wanted to be about TWD’s story. It has zombies, ok, but its story is almost only a survive-show, and that’s really poor, considering The Killing’s story.

  • Edward

The Killing totally redeemed itself from last season, deserves renewal. Thanks to Netflix for bringing it back this year!

  • Alan

I have a feeling it will get cancelled again.

  • Evan

NOOOO!!! I was hoping it would at least match its premiere ratings. This show is amazing and I can’t believe more people aren’t watching. I know a lot of people think the show has a bad stigma attached to it and don’t want to give it another try but seriously this season has been crazy good. I’m hoping it at least hit a .5 in the 18-49 demo which would be an increase from last weeks episode. I also hope that Netflix has enough numbers to know if they would want to go in on another deal again with The Killing as that seems the only way the show could continue.

Really enjoyed S3 and love the main characters. Hope for a 4th season!

It does you no good to try praise one show by badmouthing another. People watch and want different things at different times.
