Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • John A

Well Unforgettable is burnoff since it started at 1.3 last week.

  • Ultima

Football pregame got higher ratings than the game did?

It’s preseason, the game gets less interesting as it goes along because the results don’t matter.

Also, it was the Hall of Fame Game, so the pregame featured the newest inductees.

  • Survivor Fan

    @ Martin245

No, that is why those ratings are in red (as the game aired at 5:30 in the West. I bet that the game has close to a 4.0 while the pregame has low 2’s in finals.

  • ReallyTired

If you didn’t see last nights season finale of ‘The Killing’ then you don’t really like quality tv. This was a season of tv that drama lovers, and those of us who like quality writing, always pine for.

  • Max Vrany

@Ultima, also “Pregame” on the East Coast was the end of the game on the West Coast.

  • A

Whodunnit? Keep wobbling between 1.0 and 1.1, but the number of viewers stays about the same. I hope the numbers are good enough to warrant a second season. I think it’s a pretty good show.

  • K

The results do matter. Teams use preseason to “trim” their rosters, so it pays for the players to put in a solid effort. Also, the past few years some of the teams that played poorly during the preseason did not do to much better during the regular season.

  • CBSviewer

I really liked Unforgettable’s season premiere and last night episode too. I think it will be canceled again but the slot is not good anyway even with Big Brother lead-in.

  • Dan S

A swing & a miss on resurrecting Unforgettable. Perhaps the slot is too competitive & would’ve done better at 10pm on a weeknight. UTD proves there is an audience out there for original summer programming.

  • CS’ Revenge

Looks like the king of all television programs proved their place at the top again as they beat Under the Dome like I expected this week and this was just an exhibition game when the season opens up on September 5 the and 8th those two NBC games are going to score huge numbers which will be the perfect promotion platforms for NBC’s fall schedule and Million Dollar Quiz which airs the night after the 8th.

CBS and Unforgettable didn’t really lose a beat from last week despite the ridiculous and unnecessary ass Time Warner war. Unforgettable needs to stay in this territory and it’ll be around for a minute.

Whodunit is staying consistent for ABC.

As for Big Brother, I’ve been focusing on the show more this past week on After Dark and the live feeds and that Amanda is entertaining. She PMSes every hour of the day.

  • CS’ Revenge

The problem with this site is they never show the half-hours and the game actually started at 8:15p and grabbed
    Viewers: 10.35 million (#1), A18-49: 3.8/11 (#1)
    at the 8:30p half-hour.

Preseason is different because the scrubs play in the second half instead of the superstars.

  • Mark

The first couple of weeks of preseason get some pretty decent ratings, but they fall off the last two weeks because no one cares. Preseason is a bore.

  • SS

I wanted to watch Unforgettable, but for some reason I thought it was on at 10, so I missed it.

  • r0ckmypants

@John A – “Well Unforgettable is burnoff since it started at 1.3 last week.”

    That… doesn’t… make sense.

  • ToXiX

    @john A

It’s not a burn off you dumb shyt

  • Bob Smith

Wouldn’t know about Big Brother or Unforgettable as CBS can’t seem to get their head out of their arse long enough to unblock it from Time Warner.

  • John A

CBS aint going to renew a show pulling a 1.2 is all. Are people so dumb everything has to be explaned to them?

  • Kaaboom

How come Unforgettable’s viewers are so high in comparison to their demo, maybe they need to change their target audience.

  • Ultima

    The results do matter.

Preseason win-loss records are completely meaningless.

  • DB Full

What may not be clear to many is that Unforgettable is up against not just NFL football but both Dexter and True Blood in its current time slot. Given that, Unforgettable is not doing that badly. It’s peers are also faring poorly compared to earlier time slots.
