If it weren’t for the NFL Hall Of Fame exhibition game, Univision would have topped the week in the 18-34 demographic and maybe a close second in the 18-49 demo as well.

Within two years, Univision will likely win an entire season among broadcast networks in the 18-34 demographic, and will likely win a full season in the 18-49 demo among broadcast networks within the next ten years, probably by the end of the decade.

    There are two major reasons:

    (1) The explosive growth in the Hispanic population, and,

    (2) The cannibalizing of English-language viewers among numerous broadcast and cable networks. At the moment, there aren’t many high-profile Spanish-language cable networks, so Univision’s dominance among Hispanics should continue for at least several years to come.
