CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program with adults 25-54 – the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news – as well as viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for August 4, 2013.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.4/10 with 4.68m viewers and a 1.2/07 in adults 25-54. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +9% in adults 25-54 (from 1.1/06), up +12% in viewers (from 4.18m) and +13% in households (from 3.0/09).
Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +8% in both households (3.9/11 from 3.6/10) and viewers (5.52m from 5.10m), and was even in adults 25-54 (1.4/07) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast featured Maureen Maher’s report on the growth of heroin use by suburban teenagers, Michelle Miller’s profile of “Star Trek” legend George Takei, Anthony Mason’s interview with designer Vivienne Westwood, and Lee Cowan’s chat with comedienne Carol Burnett.
