The Profit

Week 2 ratings for CNBC’s reality series The Profit declined substantially from its premiere. Last week, The Profit debuted with 254,000 Total Viewers and 157,000 viewers in news’s key Adults 25-54 demographic.  The second episode, which aired Tuessday night fell 64 percent in Adults 25-54 to  56,000 and 32 percent among total viewers (173,000).

The Profit is now falling short of its timeslot predecessor American Greed, which averaged 12,000 adults 25-54 and 252,000 viewers. American Greed  was stripped weekly so its a bit of an apples and oranges comparison. However, The Profit is oupterforming CNBC’s last reality show, Crowd Rules premiered to just 47,000 viewers and was pulled from the schedule a week later.
