Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

good for the cw…whose line seems to be holding up pretty good…

  • Alice in Wonderland

Using the excuse that last nights repeat of Person of Interest was repeated a couple of months ago is lame. It tied a cancelled show, get over it. Body of Proof episode 5 “An Eye for an Eye” has been repeated 4 times since the april and has scored 3 million each time. Love both, but Body of Proof is better. :)

  • mathew

i love capture! red team and light blue team rock!!!

  • Patrick Ausgewahlt

Remember when they had 8 sitcoms airing on Tuesday (Raising Hope, Ben and Kate, New Girl, Go On, Happy Endings, The Mindy Project, The New Normal, Don’t Trust the B)?
Ben and Kate, Don’t Trust the B, Happy Endings, The New Normal, and Go On all got cancelled. Raising Hope, New Girl, and the Mindy Project all got moved to Monday.

I used to have to have hard choices on what to watch on Tuesdays with all the great comedy. Now I just have Who’s Line Is It Anyways

  • Steve

Both NCIS LA and POI tied with Body of Proof. POI matches it Lead in which wasnt the case with Goldenboy or Vegas. But well, lets see in the fall.

OK, you win there. Let’s wait and see how they do in the Fall when both shows come back….oh, wait…

  • Alice in Wonderland

    @justsaying

Thats why there is a massive campaign with over 33,200 likes on Facebook trying to get the show on for summer next year. It’s cancelation was undeserved.

  • John A

BOP was very lucky to get a third season. Just be thankful it lasted that long. But its a bit embarrasing that POI couldnt beat it. ABC should stop repeating it i mean its mid August and still repeating a cancelled show?

  • CS’ Revenge

SYTYCD’s ratings aren’t anywhere reflecting of how good the show has been this season. This is the first season I’ve really paid this close attention to since season 6 or 7. The quality was reformed this season after showing signs of aging the past couple of years. They have a really good final field of dancers. I’m interested to see if FOX renews Dance as I think the numbers have been consisted most of the season despite the bad scheduling this season to go against Got Talent. The viewership number is just really poor to me as it should be more in the 4.5-6 million range but at least its hanging in the mid 1s in the demo.

FOX doesn’t have too much to offer that’s been working during the summer so they minus well keep it. I would like to see The CW pickup one of these established reality competitions as I think it could help them instead of making a new one that won’t get watched like Breaking Pointe and Next. The CW should’ve went after America’s Best Dance Crew after MTV cancelled it last year I believe. They need to start picking up some franchises like that.

For the rest of the numbers, NBC had another solid night but AGT is having a rather bad season competition wise on the show there’s only a few acts that standout.

Still don’t know why ABC is keeping that Biggest Loser wannabe around.

Whose Line losing a little bit of steam but still over 2 million so that’s good but I think it needs a better part at 9pm.

    @ Fred

“Body Of Proof would have worked as a summer program. New episodes would have surely garnered similar ratings compared to Motive or even Rookie Blue.
ABC would probably have to lower the budget though.”

Bingo, I think you are spot on, I think ABC should’ve kept Body of Proof as a summer series. They have been doing pretty well with Rookie Blue and Motive with consistent audiences every week. ABC should start thinking more along the lines when it comes to their scripted fare of what could work during the summer season.

  • carla

I am a die-hard fan of POI and I will gladly watch it in the new Tuesday timeslot when it starts up again in September. But even I couldn’t stomach yet another viewing of the boring fake-sexy Zoe episode, meh. I tried to watch BOP but that show was utterly indigestible.

  • gerry

capture is really really fun. its not doing horribly for a cw show, esp in the summer. and the ‘cheap to make’ factor will get it a renewal, i think. GO PINK!

  • Holly

a massive campaign with over 33,200 likes on Facebook

  Setting aside the utter worthlessness of Facebook campaigns…since when is 33,200 “massive”?!

  • PurpleDrazi

ABC already knows what works during the summer. Cheap Canadian imports.

“capture is really really fun. its not doing horribly for a cw show, esp in the summer. and the ‘cheap to make’ factor will get it a renewal, i think. GO PINK!”

I think with Capture which is doing a lot better than LA Complex in that same slot but with a much bigger lead-in though probably has potential. The good thing at least is that the people watching the show like what they see so who knows The CW might just renew it.

  • missed it

My CW station went out for at least five minutes, when it came on again, they deliberately cut off the program (Whose Line)to run the five minutes of commercials missed while the channel was out. (Got to get those commercials in, you know!) ..so I missed part of the show. :(

  • Phil

Wow. Jimmy Kimmel is losing to repeats of Jay and Dave. So much for him being the new face of late night. Isn’t he due to start ripping Leno publicly again to drum up some publicity?

  • HV

AGT and Whose Line will be adjusted up, I think. It seems they always are. Speaking of Whose Line, I still need to watch last night’s episode online.

  • Matt

Have to say I’m really enjoying Capture! Never watched a show on CW before (besides 13:Fear is Real, a reality show they aired a few years ago). Ratings haven’t been great but the show has to be dirt cheap to produce. I’d watch other seasons
