Pawn Stars August 2013

Pawn Stars was Thursday's top cable original with a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating, down from last week's 1.4. Pre-Season Football was second with a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating.

We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our primary source. If you don't see your show it wasn't in that top 100 list.

The list below is long but you can use your browsers "find on page" feature (usually CTRL+F or CMD+F) to search - that's probably the easiest way to find Thursday night's episode of a specific show

Can’t wait for more seasons of Hawaii 5O!!!!!!

  • Tito Ortiz Turns Heel

Hawaii 50′s numbers are pretty solid right now for TNT. It’s looking like a good investment for them.

Has Blue Bloods signed with any cable networks yet? I think TNT or USA should definitely grab it.

  • Jimmy

Is this the last season for M.I.A. Wilfred?

  • Judy912

I am thrilled that CASTLE continues to do well on the TNT network. I do think that after word gets around Hawaii 5-0 will gain viewers on TNT. They are both terrific programs. I myself was an avid Hawaii 5-0 fan during the first 3 years of the program on the CBS network but once I caught CASTLE on the TNT network in September 2012 I am ROYAL FAN of CASTLE. Can’t believe I let 4 season of CASTLE go by before I caught on to this masterpiece of a series. At least with Hawaii 5-0 being switched to Fridays on the CBS network, I can now watch both programs.

  • Diana

According to spottedratings, TNT is paying $2,5 million for H50 and $1.5 million for Castle. Seeing the numbers I say Castle is more valuablle for TNT than H50.
I don’t know how much TNT is paying for SPN, but it is funny this show does better for them than H50 :)

Is this the last season for M.I.A. Wilfred?

“Outlook Good” says the Magic 8-Ball.

  • Guy

Project Runway’s new tweaks are great.
Tim should have always had a bigger role.
The judges NOT knowing which designer made each garment is so much fairer.
Even the online voting is ok.

    Go Braden……

    @ Tito Ortiz Turns Heel

You’re an idiot that TNA crap is full of washed up MMA fighters. lol Total Divas does better ratings than Impact.

Funny how people like to ignore facts that don’t prove their particular opinions! Do you NOT read these comments? Okay, let’s repeat them:

    Castle 2nd week ratings

    Castle (repeat) (TNT, 8:00-9:00)
    1.374 million viewers, 0.3 A18-49

    Castle (repeat) (TNT, 9:00-10:00)
    1.419 million viewers, 0.3 A18-49

    Castle (repeat) (TNT, 10:00-11:00)
    1.625 million viewers, 0.4 A18-49

Thanks Matt, for doing the research.

Castle had very similar demos in it’s 2nd week. It has survived and improved. Why are we so quick to say H50 is down and out? It improved over last week, right? Word of mouth is getting out about it being on TNT.

Also, remember, CBS OWNS H5-0. They don’t pay anyone else for the rights to show. The state of Hawaii has gotten their old and decaying film studio rebuilt by CBS, their film crews have full time work, their tourist trade is blossoming. Hawaii will do whatever it can to keep H50 in production as long as possible. TNT ultimately got a good deal.

  • reallypeople

Ouch at Owner’s Manual. That’s horrible. With the failures of Small Town Security, The Pitch, Showville, Freakshow… and now Owner’s Manual, I think AMC needs to stop with reality. It’s just not working. Repeats of anything of their scripted shows could match those numbers… and you won’t have the promotional costs to deal with. At least their latest three scripted show results all did well, so it’s not a worse week ever situation.

“Castle had very similar demos ..” But Castle is one million dollar cheaper than H50 per episode. And Supernatural and Bones even cheaper for TNT.So TNT didn’t get a “good deal” with Hawaii 50.

“CBS OWNS H5-0. They don’t pay anyone else for the rights to show”. They own the profits, but they own the costs too. And with the show on Friday, the advertisers money is down.

“their tourist trade is blossoming” . And I am sure that the 8 million viewers that H50 has each week are the reason for it. LOL

Yes .I am sure CBS will keep the show on just to please the state of Hawaii.Positive.

    Will Pawn Stars ever end?

  • jay

I can’t believe that outside of pawn stars and burn notice, thnext highest new show is Sullivan and Son. The comedy is terrible, acting atrocious. I really tried after watching bad comercials for the show but really the commercials are best high about it. Terrible.

  • kimber

I’m also chuckling over the comment about Hawaii doing what it takes to keep H50 on the air. The state of HI has nothing to do with it, and there is a tremendous amount of concern here over the ratings decline. It’s blogged about in our papers and discussed on our local news. CBS isn’t happy with much other than the huge payday from TNT for reruns.

Yes, CBS also owns the costs for this very expensive show. It has tons of guest stars that have to be flown in and cared for. Lots of explosions and expensive car chases, etc. So, when we viewers complain about all the products placements, that is the reason. They have to recoup their costs somehow for a costly show.

The Castle shows have been shown over and over and over, and they’re still beating H50. These H50 shows are being shown in syndication for the first time, and there’s been a lot of advertisement from TNT about H50. I don’t know if the ratings will go up or not, but I assure you TNT is thinking they overpaid right about now.

What may save H50 is the fact that CBS has several shows performing lower than the network would like. It will be interesting to follow what happens, but nothing can be done by us on this island.

  • Lakersupbyten

Hawaii can give taxs breaks. And facilitate the filming of the show. Lol Hawaii five o iin all its forms are ingrained in American pop culture as well as in the islands. It has helped the tourist industry for years there. So there are many parties involved in the success in the show. Five o and castle are now on the same team now when it comes to TNT. A welcome turn of events for both fans of both shows.

  • Lakersupbyten

I wish they were on the same main stream channel so they could cross over on episodes….five o and castle would work well together I am sure if it was so.

  • kimber

I’m sure H50 would, indeed, benefit from Castle’s better writing and show direction in crossover fantasyland. And don’t get the impression I’m a H50 hater; I live here and want the show to succeed. But, Mondays at 10:00 p.m. for the last 3 seasons, Castle had the better storylines. Being on ABC didn’t benefit it in the ratings, though. CBS has forced new writers and producers on H50 I understand, so maybe H50 will improve. A network wouldn’t do that on a show and producers it had a lot of confidence in.

  • nickrocks

good for project runway. it’s a great season.

  • Charles

Impractical Jokers was hilarious once again. I hope that more people catch onto the show and have it gain an even bigger following.
