Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Bones is a strong repeater even on Saturday :) It will be so good on Friday !

  • Kay

If moving Bones to Friday gets us a season 10, I’m all for it. Would allow HH and staff to close out Bones in a good and satisfying way. But there is no way I am watching that scifi crap no matter what day of the week it’s on, especially if it bumps Bones off the M-Th schedule.

  • steve

    I still miss “Zero Hour”.

  • Mathew

Why miss zero hour it’s on

  • John A

    Good for 48 hours repeats.

  • Silas

    Mamma Mia has a double m ;)

Great to see Bones still repeating like a champ.

  • Merp

@Mathew, Zero Hour finished airing on August 3rd.

  • Unicorn

‘Do not harm’ did pretty good for a Saturday burn-off finale.

  • rob60990

CBS was pre-empted here in NY for Jets game. Sure there are other pre-emptions across the networks.

  • Joe D

CBS is still blacked out here in LA by Time-Warner the biggest cable operator in town.

  • NBC Fan

    ABC was preempted in Nashville.

One does have to wonder if Fox regrets cancelling Cops and AMW.
Seems like the repeats of Cops actually draw better numbers than baseball.

    @Unicorn
‘Do not harm’ did pretty good for a Saturday burn-off finale.

Harm still has four episodes left, finale set for 9/7. In case you didn’t already know.

  • CS’ Revenge

I think NBC should’ve aired women’s gymnastics on Sunday night although these numbers were good enough to help Do No Harm get a positive low rating.

I have no idea why FOX didn’t just stick with COPS and AMW on Saturdays? They’ve done well with sports coverage there but during these dead weeks where they’ve aired COPS repeats the show has still don’t pretty well. FOX should’ve been using COPS as a utility player to boost shows on other nights of the week. The repeats of COPS are actually doing pretty well on SPIKE right now.

  • Igwell

Seems like the repeats of Cops actually draw better numbers than baseball.

Next season, FOX Sports 1 “will carry regular-season games over 26 Saturdays, and the Fox broadcast network will go from its 26-week schedule to 12 regular-season games.” (SI)

Either way, COPS isn’t coming back.

  • Sam

It was a great episode of Do No Harm that anyone watching the show wanted to happen. We waited to witness what would if the evil other got into surgery and the repurcusions. I for one I’m happy that i stayed on for the ride!
And will watch to the end.

The name of the Broadway Show that has grossed more than $2 Billion Worldwide, and a movie that added another $600 Million Worldwide is spelled MAMMA MIA. There are 3 M’s in MAMMA.

While Mama and Mamma can be interchanged in society, when dealing with the title of a Show or Movie, spelling is not optional.

I wouldn’t see HARREY Potter listed, Or Woody ALAN’s Annie Hall in the TV listings…

  • Joseph

I suspect that in most major markets, local baseball or local pre-season pro football dominated local ratings.

With numbers for ABC, CBS, Fox and NBC being this low, I wouldn’t be surprised if Univision won the night in key demos among broadcast networks and maybe total veiwers as well.
