New National Entertainment Network Debuts Monday, Sept. 2
and Will Be Carried Across All Major Distributors

Viewers Can Find FXX By Visiting GetFXX.com

FXX, the entertainment network which debuts on Monday, September 2 (7:00 AM ET/PT), has secured distribution deals with every major provider and will be carried in 72 million homes at launch.  The announcement was made by Mike Hopkins, President, Distribution, Fox Networks.

“With this expansion FXX will be able to deliver even more of the fearless brand of programming viewers have come to expect from FX Networks,” said Mr. Hopkins. “And it’s important to acknowledge that none of this would be possible without our distribution partners.”

FXX has created a website, GetFXX.com, so viewers can learn where to find the channel on their system.

FXX initially will be built on the foundation of original comedy series, movies and acquired series, and expand to include original drama series, all primarily targeted to Adults 18-34.  The network will be anchored by the acclaimed hit comedies It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League. The network has an exciting launch week planned with the Season 9 premiere of Sunny and the Season 5 debut of The League, along with the launch of the critically acclaimed late night show Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, all of which kick off on Wednesday, September 4.  (see highlights below)

Kamau Bell.  Chozen, a new animated comedy will launch in first quarter 2014.  At launch, FXX will be carried in 72 million homes.  FXX and its sister channels FX and FXM comprise FX Networks, a business unit of 21st Century Fox.

Fox Networks is a unit of Fox Networks Group (FNG) and includes 45 owned-and-operated and joint venture TV networks, video on demand and other media platforms. Cant wait for Always Sunny. FXX should rerun Raising Hope. I think it would fit in well

  • JoshuaCanada

Anyone know if FX Canada will still continue to carry Totally Biased and Legit even though they move to FXX in America?

  • Oliver

FXX and CMT will be airing Raising Hope from Fall 2014.

  • Brian

Go the Netflix route and revive a show with a huge following desperate for more… Firefly or Jericho seem like the most logical (and likely) routes to go.

  • Kit

Why didn’t Anger Management go to FXX?

  • Mike K

Sweet, Spin City, Mad about You, The Hughleys… I’l be watching a lot of FXX

  • EatMorePez

Because they want FXX to be a successful network.

  • Jon

@kit….I’m not sure, but one has to wonder if Anger Management is part of the networks long term plans. I suspect FX may try to bail on the remaining episodes it has committed to.

  • Chuck

Article says “all major distributors.” Don’t see Verizon on the net’s website.

  • Dan S

Yay, I’m getting FXX in HD. I’ll probably watch the excellent Sports Night & Parks & Rec. I never saw Freaks & Geeks in its initial run but will definitely check it out now.

  • jimmers

“The Hughleys”?!?! Really? This series fits not even close to the others. I can see “Mad about You” and the rest though….but “The Hughleys”?! lol What a joke.

  • Chris

Those 18-34s will go crazy for Mad About You :)

I wish Fox Soccer had become Fox Sports 2 and Fuel was flipped to FXX, but I get why they’re doing it this way.

  • Rich

“Archer” would be an awesome fit on the FXX schedule.

  • Ike

@Chuck, Verizon Fios is showing up on their site for me. Did you put in the wrong zip code or something?

Fox Soccer Channel is becoming FXX. Verizon Fios has Fox Soccer. They will probably move it out of the sports channel tier though, maybe to 55/555.

  • Chris

I’m worried I won’t get this channel. On Charter, Fox Soccer is in Sports View — I’m hoping that 21st Century Fox won’t allow television providers to carry FXX in a sports-themed tier (or, for that matter, with a group of sports channels) because it would make no sense. I am hoping that it will be moved into the 100’s tier near other similar-themed channels — and into Digital View or Digital View Plus.

Also, how come FX isn’t moving some of its comedy-themed series to FXX? It should move all of them there. Anger Management, Archer, How I Met Your Mother, Louie, Two and a Half Men, Wilfred, and the upcoming series Saint George and the untitled Kelsey Grammer/Martin Lawrence project would better fit FXX simply because.

Will FXX be carried on DirecTV? In HD?
