For the week of August 12, 2013, Disney Channel swept Total Day across major youth demos for the 12th consecutive week and was cable TV’s #1 network in Total Viewers for the 5th straight week. Notably, Disney Channel extended its streak as the #1 Total Day TV network to 114 weeks in a row in Kids 6-11 and Tweens, marking over 2 years of dominance in the key categories. Competitively, Disney Channel towered over Nickelodeon by at least double digits for the 93rd week running in Kids 6-11, 95th in Tweens and 5th in Kids 2-11. With 1 week remaining this summer, Disney Channel is poised to rank as cable TV’s #1 network in Total Viewers for the 2nd straight summer in Total Viewers, and as TV’s #1 network for the 2nd summer in a row in Kids 2-11, 5th in Kids 6-11 and 9th in Tweens. Led by Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel and the 7th encore of Teen Beach Movie, Disney Channel delivered the week’s Top 20 TV telecasts in Kids 6-11 (47 of Top 50) and Top 5 in Tweens (44 of Top 50).

Disney Junior block’s Sofia the First ranked as cable TV’s #1 series for the 4th consecutive week in Kids 2-5 and was the #1 preschool cable TV series in Total Viewers for the 3rd week in a row. Head to head, the block out-delivered Nickelodeon’s preschool block by double digits in Total Viewers, Kids 2-5, Girls 2-5 and Boys 2-5. Overall, the block aired the week’s Top 3 cable TV series in Kids 2-5 and Girls 2-5 and the Top 4 preschool cable TV series in Total Viewers.

24-Hour Disney Junior Channel stood as TV’s #1 preschool network for the 20th straight week – each week since reporting public ratings – with Kids 2-5 and Boys 2-5, and was #1 for the 19th time in the previous 20 weeks in Total Viewers. Moreover, this week ranked as the network’s 2nd-most-watched week on record in Total Viewers, Kids 2-5 and Boys 2-5. Disney Junior Channel towered over Nick Jr. by double digits and Sprout by triple digits in target demos.
