yay whodunnit! wish (spoiler) lindsey would of won tho!

So the 1.4 for Whodunnit? stands. We will have to see if that saved the show or was it too little too late?

But even if it comes back, this show needs a major reworking for the final episode and the unmasking of the killer.

Crossing lines is really low :( I loved the idea, but this does not get a second season I pressume :(

NBC saturday outrates Sunday. Kinda sad Do No Harm (Lowest in season premier ever) burnoff beat Crossing Lines. Sad.

We have to wait to see how it rates in France. If it does well, TF1 will want a second season but remember it’s an international production.
I think next summer NBC will air a new drama ordered by TF1 titled “Taxi: Brooklyn South” starring Chyler Leigh.

Whodunnit finale did pretty good for ABC. I wonder if they’ll bring it back next summer.

I enjoyed Whodunnit more than Big Brother this summer. The first season of Survivor hinted at the winner when Richard Hatch said something about writing a million dollar check to him. Whodunnit hinted at the winner when the contestant was shown explaining why he thinks he will win the $250,000 on the first episode.

The odds of ABC renewing Whodunnit don’t look good. ABC didn’t renew Bachelor Pad for a fourth season. According to the futon critic (quoting an ABC press release), ABC aired the 2 hour Bachelor Pad season 3 finale on September 10, 2012 against the season 3 premiere of The Voice. These were the preliminary ratings:

8 pm: 1.3 rating and 4.4 million total viewers
9 pm: 1.4 rating and 4.6 million total viewers

Unless Whodunnit is much cheaper for ABC than Bachelor Pad, ABC won’t renew Whodunnit for a second season.

ABC should and most likely will renew Whodunnit? It has to be cheap and it has never fallen below 1.0 and it is doing better than all of their recent scripted summer shows. (Their Sunday dramas they tried previous summers, motive, mistresses etc.). Plus it ended its season on a series high. I think ABC would be stupid not to renew the show. It could rise next summer. I’ve actually heard people talking about the show more and more as the season went on.

Whodunnit? It was the butler with the bad puns.

But seriously, ratings for this show have been steady, but low heading into the finale. The final episode surprised me by how high it was, but I think it’s going to come down to cost. If they can find something cheaper that can draw similar ratings, then the show is toast. If not, they may consider renewal but maybe a new night (Mondays?).
