Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2013 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • Jordan

    I don’t think Paula’s appearance on MasterChef was advertised… Was it?

  • Ccemerson

    Criminal Minds continues to be the weak link for CBS Wednesday . Wish they would plug a few new Unforgettable episodes in that spot. Props to CSI for its age and good numbers it still pulls.

  • Potato

    @Dennis

    I DO NOT potate! How dare you, sir! :p

  • Mon

    If it were up to me, Big Brother would have been 2 hours last night. There were lots of good stuff left out on last night’s episode.

    Seriously? It’s NBC’s highest rated summer show by a huge margin.

    @Ccemerson
    Criminal Minds continues to be the weak link for CBS Wednesday .

    If they put original programming in that hour, there’s a chance that it could perform better than Criminal Minds repeats, but it probably wouldn’t be worth the cost.

    In any case, during the regular season, Criminal Minds has better numbers than both CSI and Survivor, so it’s not going anywhere.

  • CBSviewer

    Why is Supernatural so low ? I’m more and more worried for next season.

    CSI still strong :)

  • Ultima

    @CCemerson

    Also, CBS clearly does not want to air all 13 epiodes of Unforgettable over the summer. If they did, it would have premiered in June.

  • CBSviewer

    @ Ccemerson

    Wish they would plug a few new Unforgettable episodes in that spot

    Big Brother was stronger on Sunday than Wednesday this week (2.5 vs. 2.0) and Unforgettable only got a 1.1. If it was on Wednesday at 9 it would go even lower. Plus, Unforgettable is more compatible with Mentalist than CSI.

  • Rick

    Masterchef has been really entertaining this year.

  • Justin

    @CBSviewer

    You’re assuming that Unforgettable is lead-in dependent, which isn’t necessarily true. I haven’t followed the Big Brother ratings, but I’m pretty sure Big Brother has fluctuated a bit while Unforgettable is still getting 1.1 every week.

    I don’t watch the Mentalist but I would say Unforgettable is still compatible with CSI.

    Regardless, I wonder what CBS will do with Unforgettable by the time the Emmys and the Good Wife return. Are they just going to burn off the last five episodes on Saturday? It’s doing poorly enough that I suspect they will.
