CBS HOME ENTERTAINMENT RELEASES NEW DVD AND BLU-RAY COLLECTIONS OF CURRENT HIT CBS SHOWS, PACKED WITH ORIGINAL FEATURETTES, CAST INTERVIEWS AND COMMENTARIES
Fans Can Catch Up On Their Favorite Shows Before the New Season Begins
HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (September 4, 2013) – CBS Home Entertainment will release the latest seasons of some of television’s most popular current series, just prior to their fall 2013 broadcast premieres.
From blockbuster crime series, : Los Angeles, : Crime Scene Investigation, and Hawaii Five-O, to critically acclaimed dramas The and , to newer hit , the releases come packed with exclusive, must-see special features, newly produced and only available as part of these season collections. Below are sneak peeks of some special features:
Actor Rocky Carroll (Director Leon Vance) discovers what it’s like to be part of a real life investigation agency as he travels to Washington, D.C. and interviews the real Director Mark D. Clookie in the special feature “Mr. Carroll Goes To Washington.”
The DVD collection features all 24 episodes as well as deleted scenes, audio commentaries, and a variety of featurettes including a special look back at the past 10 years with the show’s cast and crew.
In the special featurette, “Un4gettable: Season Four of: LOS ANGELES,” the cast and executive producers Shane Brennan and R. Scott Gemmill look back at Season 4 and discuss character arcs, team dynamics and memorable storylines along with what they enjoyed about this season.
Headlined by Chris O’Donnell and LL COOL J, the six-disc DVD collection boasts exclusive special features including interviews with cast and crew, and an inside look at O’Donnell’s directorial debut on the episode “Wanted.”
Comprised of behind-the-scenes interviews with Golden Globe® winner Julianna Margulies and Chris Noth, the featurette “The Ties That Bind” provides fans with unique insight on the complex relationship between Alicia and Peter Florrick.
The fourth season collection of the drama also features fascinating interviews with the series creators, writers and cast.
ELEMENTARY – THE FIRST SEASON DVD – Out August 27
In the newly produced featurette, “In Liu Of Watson,” Lucy Liu describes her character’s evolution throughout the first season and the challenges she faces playing the role.
The DVD collection also includes interviews with the series creator and executive producer, a tour of the set with Liu, a look back at the first season with the cast and crew and a five-part web series.
Jeanne Tripplehorn, a new series regular in Season 8, discusses her role as Dr. Alex Blake in the exclusive featurette, “Alex and Jeanne.”
Another highlight included in the eighth season collection is a newly produced featurette entitled “A Profiler’s Handbook,” which outlines some of the most twisted psychological symptoms ever featured on the series.
The special featurette “Dinner With The Reagans” shows what kind of appetite it takes for star Donnie Wahlberg to have when filming one of the most popular episode elements of: the dinner scene.
The newest DVD collection of the multi-generational drama starring Tom Selleck comes packed with an inside look at the third season, an exclusive set tour and a gag reel.
CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION – THE THIRTEENTH SEASON DVD – Out September 17
In the special featurette, “A Tale of Two CSIs,” :NY’s Gary Sinise and ’s Ted Danson recount their experience shooting the crossover episode “In Vino Veritas.”
The new collection also features multiple exclusive behind-the-scenes featurettes, cast interviews and commentaries.
The cast of, starring Alex O’Loughlin and Scott Caan, can barely contain their lines and giggles in the third season collection’s gag reel.
