WOMEN’S SEMI-FINALS HIGHLIGHT CBS SPORTS’ COVERAGE OF U.S. OPEN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS ON FRIDAY, SEPT. 6

 

CBS Sports’ continuing coverage of the U.S. OPEN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS on Friday, Sept. 6 (12:30-6:00 PM, ET) is highlighted by the women’s semi-final matches following the mixed doubles championship.

 

Coverage is highlighted by No. 1-seeded Serena Williams taking on No. 5-seeded Li Na following No. 2-seeded Victoria Azarenka against Flavia Pennetta.

 

The mixed doubles championship featuring No. 7-seeded Andrea Hlavackova/Max Mirny versus Abigail Spears/Santiago Gonzalez precedes the women’s matches.

 

CBS Sports’ “Super Saturday” coverage on Saturday, Sept. 7 will feature the men’s semi-final matches (12:00 NOON-6:00 PM, ET).

 

CBS Sport’s coverage of the 2013 U.S. Open Tennis Championships will conclude on Sunday, Sept. 8 (4:30 PM, ET) with the women’s final and Monday, Sept. 9 (5:00 PM, ET) with the men’s final.

 

Lead play-by-play announcer Bill Macatee is joined by expert analysts Mary Carillo and John McEnroe in the booth.  Jim Courier, Mary Joe Fernandez and Chris Wragge round out CBS Sports’ announce team.
