CBS NEWS FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT ELIZABETH PALMER REPORTS FROM THE FRONT LINES OF THE SYRIAN WAR – TONIGHT ON THE “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY” (6:30-7:00 PM, ET)

CBS News Foreign Correspondent Elizabeth Palmer reports from the front lines of the Syrian war in a report to be broadcast tonight, Sept. 6 on the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY (6:30-7:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network.

Palmer was with the National Defense Force – militias that the Syrian Army has created to defend neighborhoods across Damascus – as they traded fire with opposition fighters only 20 yards away. In tonight’s report, Palmer speaks with residents who are now soldiers about how they plan to defend either a rebel attack or a U.S. air strike.
