CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program with adults 25-54 – the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news – as well as viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sept. 1, 2013.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.3/10 with 4.73m viewers and a 1.2/07 in adults 25-54. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +9% in adults 25-54 (from 1.1/06), up +12% in viewers (from 4.22m) and up +14% in households (from 2.9/09).
Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +8% in viewers (5.46m from 5.07m), up +6% in households (3.8/11 from 3.6/10) and even in adults 25-54 (1.4/07) compared to last year.
Sunday’s broadcast featured Martha Teichner’s report on the benefits and challenges of working from home, Serena Altschul’s interview with Tim Robbins about his project to teach acting to inmates, Lee Cowan’s profile of talk show host Arsenio Hall, and Anthony Mason’s report on a new book and documentary that unearthed secrets about the life of the late author and celebrated recluse J.D. Salinger.
