Although it should be noted that after next year, the U.S. Open is moving exclusively to ESPN, so that will solve this particular scheduling headache.

CBS should re-air the last nites episode back-to-back with the season finale next Monday…period!

CBS should re-air the last nites episode back-to-back with the season finale next Monday…period!

They’re re-airing it on Saturday and it’s available both online and on demand. People who want to see the episode before next week’s finale should have no trouble doing so.

I tuned in to watch “Under the Dome”, and “TBBT” was on. I first thought I had the wrong channel, checked that. The second thought was that the local channel had another dispute over airtime with the national distributor.

I saw a bit of “BB”, then was going to change the channel when I saw the message at the bottom of the screen saying that “UTD” would air after “TBBT”.

So, I can imagine lots of people tuned in on time, and thought the same, or that the program was not going to air at all.

“Not going to happen. CBS is obviously committed to year-round sports broadcasts.”

CBS is ditching the US Open altogether after next year’s tournament, it will move fully over to ESPN.What i don’t understand is why the men’s final was yesterday and not Sunday afternoon like it usually is.There was no bad weather excuse this year as there had been in years past.

I feel CBS should of eliminated showing Two & A Half Men. There was absolutely no reason for it. And then Two Broke Girls could of started on time a 9pm. UTD should of had demo in the high 2’s and maintained over 10 million viewers. Last night’s episode was really intense. Dean Norris is really terrific in his role.

@shawn…they don’t play the mens final on sundays anymore since it rained so much the last several years and had to play on mondays anyway.. they just made the change permanent…

  • SJ

Wow!!! Seriously, CBS? SERIOUSLY?!? You delayed your only scripted summer hit by 30 minutes for flipping GOLF? Which, of course, got a 0.6…

I mean, couldn’t they just have skipped a comedy repeat (preferably the one scheduled for 8pm) and have everything else run on time? Under the Dome would NEVER have dipped below 10 million viewers, definitely not this late in the game. They really dropped the ball on this one.

God, this kind of stupidity just makes me MAD! How is it that everyone else could see how simple and easy the solution would have been?!?

I think since it kept getting pushed back to Monday they just decided to schedule it that way from the start. With the extra day, they now have a day off between semis and finals for both men’s and women’s singles, which ideallly leads to higher quality final matches.

CBS is ditching the US Open altogether after next year’s tournament

Is CBS dropping it or is the US Open dropping CBS? I know Wimbledon dropped CBS because they didn’t want split coverage anymore.

  • forg

CBS should have just dropped 2.5 Men repeat, keeping TBBT repeat is understandable.

Oh well Mistresses, let’s see if ABC will renew it for next summer

  • Ultima

FOX renewed So You Think You Can Dance.

  • Potato

These under the dome comments are giving me a headache. It’s one week. ONE. WEEK. I don’t even have an opinion on the show, I’m unbiased!

  • Dontryl Alexander

ABC will sadly I say pull the plug on Mistresses, but 50-50 chance it would be back for season 2, but only on cable (Lifetime).

  • Kike Kikerson

Anyone know when UTD will pop up On Demand? I would think the dullards would put it up immediately after Monday’s debacle, but I don’t see it yet. I would like to see it ASAP instead of waiting until Saturday(have a busy weekend and might not be able to catch THAT viewing until Monday after work and Monday after work is already a chore watching SIX programs from Sunday night(literally 6 of the 12 shows I record are on Sunday night).

  • scifi

Yeah, Under the american Dome is dead

  • Dan S

UTD did surprisingly well despite the unneeded delay it suffered by CBS’ inept programming. By axing a repeat comedy UTD would’ve done better if it started at 10pm in the east. At least it’ll be back next summer. Can’t say if ABC will want to bring Mistresses back & it left us with a great cliffhanger. If they pass hopefully it’ll resurface on cable as suggested by another post.

  • SPM

    Loooooool bye bye Mistresses

    Awful show.

  • Other Than THAT Mrs Lincoln? How Was The Play?

Im suprised that on the outside of the Dome the military hasnt tried digging under the thing. Dig a verticle tunnel down and keep poking the Dome to see if it has a bottom. But if its really an spherical or egg shaped force field then its not really a Dome at all !!! So the They are not Under The Dome but Inside the Giant Sphere (or Egg). They need a spinoff webisode series called Outside The Dome to see whats really going on out there.

  • Other Than THAT Mrs Lincoln? How Was The Play?

Is Mistresses doing better than legendary Mob Doctor? LOL
