‘CBS Sunday Morning’ Posts Year to Year Gains in Adults 25-54, Viewers and Households

“CBS SUNDAY MORNING” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING NEWS PROGRAM IN ADULTS 25-54, VIEWERS AND HOUSEHOLDS
CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program with adults 25-54 – the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news – as well as viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sept. 8, 2013.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.4/10 with 4.96m viewers and a 1.2/06 in adults 25-54. Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +9% in adults 25-54 (from 1.1/06), up +11% in viewers (from 4.46m) and up +3% in households (from 3.3/09). CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted its largest audience since June 30, 2013.
Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +8% in both viewers (5.45m from 5.06m) and adults 25-54 (1.4/07 from 1.3/07), and up +6% in households (3.8/11 from 3.6/10) compared to last year.
Lee Cowan anchored Sunday’s broadcast, which featured Tracy Smith’s profile of actor, comic and sometime author Billy Crystal, Mo Rocca’s report on Woodrow Wilson, the 28th President of the United States, Cowan’s chat with confessed artwork forger Ken Perenyi, Jeff Glor’s report on The Urban Dove Team Charter School, which is built on a fitness-and sports-based curriculum, and Mark Strassmann’s interview with Freda Kelly, who was a secretary for The Beatles.
CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
