NEW YORK, September 12, 2013 – COMEDY CENTRAL has enrolled in Greendale Community College!  The cable television premiere of “Community” kicks off with a special 10-episode block of fan-favorite episodes Sunday, September 15 from 11:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET/PT.  Starting Friday, September 20, well-studied fans and clueless freshmen can start “Community” cramming when the series settles into the schedule with a four-episode block airing weekly every Friday from 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., beginning with season one. During the Friday premiere episodes, super fans can use the hashtag #CommunityCentral for a chance to see their tweets on-air.
The critically-acclaimed “Community” is a half-hour comedy series about a tight-knit study group at Greendale Community College.  At the center of the group is Jeff Winger (Joel McHale, “The Soup”), a fast-talking lawyer whose degree has been revoked.  With some help from his fellow classmates, Winger forms a study group who eventually learn more about themselves than their course work.  Among the series stars who comprise the group are Chevy Chase, Gillian Jacobs, Yvette Nicole Brown, Danny Pudi, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Ken Jeong and Jim Rash. “Community’” will be returning to NBC’s 2013 – 2014 schedule for its fifth season.

    YAY!!!!

  • Jeff (Canada)

Canada has been airing Community 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs) for over a year now. Why is the US just getting syndication now?

One more season after the one that premiers this year, and then maybe a movie.

I believe that season 5 is the end unless Community performs VERY well in Syndication. If Sony can get up the price per episode then a final 6th season is a possibility. I like this show, but I am more than thrilled with 5 seasons and no movie. Ratings wise, this show was never more than average on NBC and since season 3 it was just been so low rated. I am hoping NBC gives it a 16 episode final season just for an even 100
