  • Mr Mikey

    Thursday Night Football beat X-Factor.

    ^Does that surprise you? lol.

  • baja7475

    Wipeout wasn’t a repeat.

  • Jeff R.

When will the “first cancellation” poll go up, anyhow? I keep expecting to see it…

  • BigBrotherFan

THANK GOD Rookie Blue didn’t go below a 1. I’m so happy it’s coming back!

As for Big Brother..This is THE WORST batch of final houseguests ever!

X-FACTOR is doing awful! Just awful! lol Big Bang Theory repeat almost matching it…PATHETIC!

  • Kissan

Wow. A repeat of TBBT almost beat part 2 of the season premiere of X Factor. Well at least it edged out BB in viewers and tied in demo to win the night. HGN repeats so well I don’t know how it does it. So glad RB finale didn’t go below a 1.0 plus it beat the crap out of Graceland so…yeah.

  • Dan S

No matter how you spin it X-Factor will not return next year. These ratings are woeful going against summer reruns nearly getting best by TBBT. My guess is this is going to be a tough year in general for Fox.

LOL at Rookie Blue adjusted DOWN .4 – ABC issued that misleading PR this morning with these “facts.” Guess they are all false.

“During the 10 o’clock hour, ABC’s season finale of Rookie Blue rose sharply week to week in viewers (+36%) and young adults (+40%) to deliver its biggest audience in nearly 4 months and hit a season high in Adult 18-49 with its top rating since last July – since 5/30/13 and 7/26/12, respectively. Up over its year-ago finale in Total Viewers (+12%) and Adults 18-49 (+17%), Rookie Blue posted its strongest-ever season closer. “

Its still way to early to say that if ratings do stay about the same or dip i could see them give it a summer run as for in general it will be a ok year for Fox better then last year.

  • Sparky

Loved Rookie Blue last night….great episode. Thank God it’s coming back next season

  • Dreamer

I am surprised that big brother has kept these ratings.
Not one is worth the half mil.
Hope they do better next year.

Ps. I voted for Elissa. Hope she wins the 25k.

Not naming names, but… why are there so many British actors starring in American TV series? Aren’t there any good American actors who can act and play those roles? I’m having a problem understanding the British accent at times, mainly because they hardly ever pronounce the “Rs” at the end of words, and they mumble the words and sound like they have a big spoonful of mash stuck in their mouths. Though, it may be my ears, I “hear” that ears are the first thing to go.

The worst thing about the x factor is I don’t even see a press release from fox even spinning the numbers. It’s really bad when the network is silent. It had virtually zero competition. Wait until the other shows return.

Keep in mind in Boston Rookie Blue was not aired until Friday late night as our local ABC affiliate carried the NFL Network feed of the Patriots-Jets game “for those without cable!” I think the same may have been said for the New York affiliate. So two pretty big markets could eb the reason for Rookie Blue being adjusted!

  • HalCapone

FOX should re-work the X-Factor perhaps by incorporating shark attacks for those contestants who perform poorly. Where is sharknado when you need him?!

  • Sue

Simon wasn’t happy with the ratings he got in season 1 (which was about twice as good as these ratings).. So he changed everything and look what happened. He only has himself to blame for this. He shouldn’t have replaced Paula imo, he had chemistry with her- Real chemistry, not fake.

    @Jeff R., Dan S.:

A most alarming drop for X-Factor. It is drawing barely more than half what it drew in its first season, in terms of the demo and total viewers. If the show’s rate of attrition remains consistent with last year’s, we could see this show draw as low as a 1.5 demo and as few as 4.5 million viewers.

With numbers like that, the chances of an Idol episode drawing 9.9 million viewers or less, or a 1.9 demo, increase. I am in agreement that the ratings for X-Factor are going to be embarrassing enough that they can’t possibly consider renewing it for a 4th season. The demo viewers (18-49) have better things to do these days, and better shows to WATCH these days, than sit around and watch XFUSA or Idol. My horse money’s on X-Factor to be X’d out after this season (they, including Simon, don’t have a clue on know how to promote their U.S. winners), and Idol to be retired after 2015.

“CBS Fall Preview” — it’ll get canceled, for sure ;-)

  • MW

Here in the Boston ABC shows were preempted by Patriots Football game that night. Rookie Blue wasn’t shown until Saturday at 1 AM, go figure! Thank goodness for DVR’s or I would have been really perturbed, as I’m a huge fan of this show and this particular night was the season finale! But a 4.71 is still decent, but could have been higher.
