The Season 3 Premiere of ABC’s Hit Series “Scandal”

“Scandal: The Secret is Out” -- ABC invites new recruits and devoted gladiators to catch up on the most scandalous moments from last season’s breakout hit, “Scandal,” with a special one-hour clip show in anticipation of the shocking Season 3 Premiere, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 3 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

The Season 3 Premiere will air later the same evening, from 10:00-11:00 p.m., ET.

“Scandal’s” Joshua Malina narrates the one-hour special and dissects the rumors, lies and affairs that have made ”Scandal” one of the most talked about shows on TV. Viewers will be able to catch up on their favorite characters and story lines from Seasons 1 and 2, and the most asked questions --#WhoisQuinn?, #WhoShotFitz? and #WhattheHuck -- will all be explained.

“Scandal” stars Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, Columbus Short as Harrison Wright, Guillermo Diaz as Huck, Darby Stanchfield as Abby Whelan, Katie Lowes as Quinn Perkins, Tony Goldwyn as President Fitzgerald Grant, Jeff Perry as Cyrus Beene, Bellamy Young as Mellie Grant, Joshua Malina as David Rosen and Scott Foley as Captain Jacob “Jake” Ballard.

“Scandal” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC’s selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to airdate.

ABC should be airing repeats of Once Upon a Time in that slot so people will get used to the Spin off airing there

ABC is really trying to kill OUAT spin-off.

Shark Tank rerun and Scandal special on the deathslot

    Late premiere on the deathslot.

Sounds like NBC putting Rock Center on thursdays last fall.

Sigh. Ugly Betty was there for several seasons and Flash Forward put up good numbers there before tanking in the spring. A handful of bad shows in the same timeslot doesn’t mean it’s a death slot.

It’s like some people can’t remember back more than a couple of years…

Outside of CBS, that programming model is dead. With the amount of original summer programming and the ratings summer repeats pull, it’s simply not effective anymore.

@Ultima- Thursdays at 8 is a deathslot. The Big Bang Theory has killed EVERY ABC show that has aired in that slot since TBBT has been there. Ugly Betty was successful but that was BEFORE TBBT. I would have put Grey’s there if I were them. While it wouldn’t beat TBBT, it would do well enough to stay on the air, not to mention provide a good lead in for a new show.

OUAT in Wonderland should have aired Sundays at 9 following OUAT. I’m sure it would do at least Revenge numbers there if not better.

Before Big Bang, there was Survivor and Earl and Betty did just fine. Don’t blame BBT or the timeslot, it’s the crappy shows ABC is choosing to slot in there.
