THE “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY” ADDS +340,000 VIEWERS COMPARED TO THE SAME WEEK LAST YEAR

 

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted year-to-year gains in viewers (6.08m from 5.74m, +6%) and households (4.1/08 from 4.0/08, +2%), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Sept. 13.

 

The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY added +340,000 viewers compared to the same week last year. Editor’s Note: Ratings for the week ending Sept. 13 and the year-ago comparison represent a four-day average (Tuesday-Friday) due to coverage of the U.S. Open.

 

Television year-to-date, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted increases in both viewers (6.44m from 6.03m, +7%) and households (4.4/09 from 4.1/08, +7%). Television year-to-date, the CBS broadcast also maintained its adults 25-54 rating (1.5/05) – the demographic most important to those who advertise in news – compared to last year.
