Adults 18-34: Rating/Share 2.1/7 2.0/6 1.4/4 1.0/3 1.0/3 0.2/1

Last night’s Monday Night Football game (Steelers/Bengals) was simulcast on the ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh and the NBC affiliate in Cincinnati. As a result, the ABC and NBC numbers may be inflated  and subject to more than typical adjustments in the finals. Major League Baseball aired on the CW affiliate in Chicago.

FOX was number one in Adults 18-49 while ABC was on top among Total Viewers.

Update: Fox ordered Time Zone adjusted fast nationals (which usually match the final afternoon ratings)

BONES went up to 2.3 rtg in Adults 18-49 (vs. 2.2/7 this morning) with 7.8 Mil Total Viewers (vs. 7.5 Mil this morning)

  • This makes it EVEN with last year’s premiere in Adults 18-49 (2.3/7)

SLEEPY HOLLOW went up to 3.5 rtg in Adults 18-49 (vs. 3.4/9 this morning) with 10.1 Mil Total Viewers (vs. 10.0 Mil this morning)

On FOX, the season premiere of Bones scored a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating down 4 percent from a 2.3 for last season’s premiere on Monday, September 17, 2012 but up 5 percent from a 2.1 for last season’s finale on April 29, 2013. The series premiere of Sleepy Hollow garnered a huge 3.4 adults 18-49 rating up 127 percent from a 1.5 for the premiere of The Mob Doctor on September 17, 2012, and, perhaps more surprisingly up 6 percent from a 3.2 for the premiere of The Following on January 21, 2013 and up 10 percent from a 3.1 for the premiere of Terra Nova on Monday, September 26, 2011. Your predictions were far too pessimistic. It was the highest broadcast drama premiere since the debut of Revolution and FOX’s best Fall drama premiere in six years, since the short-lived K-ville in 2007.

On CBS, the season finale of Under the Dome earned a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating up 33 percent from last week’s 2.1. It should be noted that last week’s episode started half an hour late in most of the country. It was the show’s best Adults 8-49 rating since July 29.

On ABC, the possiblyy football inflated season premiere of Dancing with the Stars scored a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating up 28 percent from a 2.5 for the premiere of last fall’s all-star edition on September 25, 2012 and matching last spring's premiere on March 18, 2013.

On NBC, Million Second Quiz earned a 1.1 down 35 percent from a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating for last week’s premiere. The ]season finale of American Ninja Warrior notched a 1.6 down 6 percent from last week's 1.7 adults 18-49 rating. The finale of Siberia garnered a 0.8 up 33 percent from last week's 0.6  adults 18-49 rating.

On The CW, the season finale of Breaking Pointe matched last week's 0.2 adults 18-49 rating.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @rob
Sleepy Hollow had a ton of hype. Every time I went to a movie there was a preview for it and there were a ton of commercials during football where I live. I’m not saying that the premiere wasn’t great, but there was a lot of hype.

  • Alex

Hell yes, please continue to watch this show America. So fun, so off the wall and creepy. I love it.

  • Scandalfan

So happy for Sleepy Hallow, great show. I’ll be watching this show even if the ratings slip, the lead actor is too darn hot n sexy. lol

  • cimmer

Did better than the 2.6 I thought and although it was interesting I have a feeling it’s going to drop over the next few weeks when the other new shows start but it may end up settling in the low to mid 2′s. Fox is smart to get their shows out of the gate early.

  • Petar

    Great premiere for sleepy hollow.

  • Abby

Still good numbers for UTD! The season finale sucked, but I’m still looking forward to season 2.

I liked Sleepy Hollow and I’m happy it did good in ratings! Let’s hope things will continue to get better.

  • Babar Suhail

    Someone should fix Bones’s viewers.

  • luka

Bodes well for Dads and Brooklyn 99!
    Meybe Dads 3.0?

  • Nasir

Wow, that’s really good for Sleepy Hollow & it appears as though it was really interesting given the comments. Maybe I’ll watch it.

  • David

Wow. I’m going to have to catch the repeat of Sleep Hollow.

  • Petar

@Apparently it’s Fox’s biggest drama series premiere in six years.

    NOPE! Touch premiere was 3.9.

  • Shaun Ed

Fox did good by airing some of their premieres one week earlier than the rest.

I have Sleepy Hallow saved up, won’t watch it until I know it has stable ratings.

  • Fin

Wow at Sleepy Hollow! Amazing numbers and a strong return for Dancing with the Stars and Under the Dome did good. Good for FOX!

  • Pat

Bones got 7.5 million total, not 10.05

  • Kissan

Okay first off HUGE premiere for Sleepy Hollow. I never thought it could get a 3.4, much less a 3.0. Good for UTD even though I didn’t watch it last night (I have it on DVR) but I hear people saying on the internet that the finale was bad. I watched Sleepy Hollow last night but I’m gonna watch it again because I didn’t really pay attention to it since I was watching DWTS. Bones did alright but since it’s on their ninth season I’ll let it go. Pretty good for DWTS but to me it should’ve done at least a 3.4 because they had a lot of buzzed about people on there and it got beat by freakin Sleepy Hollow. I also think that DWTS is still gonna get slaughtered by The Voice and the CBS comedies next week. And in the mix of all that MSQ had a 1.1…..

P.S.-Isn’t Bones viewers wrong? There’s no way it got the same amount of viewers as Sleepy Hollow(which I’m now gonna be calling SH now) and only get a 2.2.

  • Bella Bellini

So happy for Sleepy Hollow! I loved it and it’s getting lots of buzz on Twitter & tumblr. So I think the ratings will stay solid.

  • Alex

Excellent start for Sleepy Hollow. I did think that some of the media press were writing it off far too soon. We’ll see how it holds up in the weeks to come especially next week when the CBS comedies and The Voice return but that’s a great start. Fox will be happy. ABC also should be happy with Dancing with the Stars return but again we’ll wait and see how it does against The Voice next week. Also a great finale performance for Under the Dome. A good night for everyone expect NBC then… that’s familiar.

  • Fin

    * and ABC and CBS.

  • Jerry

    @Petar

That depends if Fox considers the one-off of showing the Touch pilot early or not the series premiere. They aired it again when the series actually started right?

“@Apparently it’s Fox’s biggest drama series premiere in six years.

    NOPE! Touch premiere was 3.9.”

Fox PR claims SH was the biggest FALL drama premiere in 6 years for them.
