  • In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/4.
  • From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.1/4 in metered-market households and a 0.4/3 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Pretty pleased with B99 ratings and very pleased with new girl! Hopefully they can hold up!

  • gerry

    @ james

i meant it more in the way of being a multitasker funny lady in the biz right now because she writes/directs/acts/produces. i am in no way saying that dr mindy comes even close to liz lemon

  • GARY

Down with procedurals and lame sitcoms…up with sci-fi and fantasy!

  • Bitter Go On Fan (Former Bitter Ringer Fan)

The Mindy Project got the ratings i was expecting yet it deserves so much more. I hope it can hold those numbers with the competition coming next week :(

  • Potato

    @Bryan– I liked Go On.

There’s no way Dads stays anywhere close to that rating next week. Only about ten percent of people (online anyway) seemed to like it.

  • Alan

Great night for everyone. Mindy Project was low because it premiered online, so the ratings that matter will be the ones from next week. Dads was meh, but I don’t think it will do well on the next weeks.

  • Joel

I liked these comedies. I dont see why people are just being cruel to Dads, but I understand why it could not be liked. I’ll most likely watch these three comedies(not TMP) and see shields afterwards since i can record it. :

  • Survivor Fan

Did anyone else love Dads? It may very well be the best new show since either Whitney or Last Man Standing (I love very politically incorrect humor).

  • jimmers

TMP is soooo funny! New Girl is soooo boring, Seen the story plots before else where. Mindy is fresh and hilariously random.

  • Riley

Put Brooklyn 99 after new girl

  • Ann

The Mindy Project did horrible numbers last year so I am not surprised it’s not doing any better. How long can/will Fox justify keeping this show around? As for Dads and Nine-Nine, if they drop off and most shows do after their premieres then it could get ugly for one or both.

  • Jon

Dads was one big fat dud. I expect its ratings to fall hard. Its too bad b99 has to follow it. .B99 was refreshingly funny people please check out Mindy. As I said last spring its turned into a hilarious show

  • World Picker

    Brooklyn is horrific.

  • Ian9outof10

My thoughts are simply that I hated Dads, laughed a bit at B99 – and think it could be great – and I’ve always been a bit of a fan of New Girl, but I think it’s getting worse with each passing episode.

The death of Dads can’t come quickly enough for me though, just a horrible show.

  • JD

Mindy Project is great. Hints of The Office mixed in. If it doesn’t last it’ll end up a cult classic like “Freaks & Geeks”.

  • MikeInLA

Dads was just flat out awful! I only made it through half the show before I had to turn it off. Did no one in the company watch it with the laugh track added? Completely took any and everything away from the show, every single line is not funny enough to have the laughter.

  • Donald

Brooklyn Nine Nine was good, dads was rubbish.

  • ToXiX

VERY SOON fox needs to change their line up to

    8 Raising Hope
    830 Us & Them
    9 New Girl
    930 Brooklyn Nine Nine

  • Jay Z

i Will NOT be watching Dads next week. The funniest part was the asian girl laugh. AND THATS IT !! awful show.

Brooklyn 99 surprised me. I thought it was actually pretty decent.

New Girl great as usual !

  • SueP

    @Brandy – Thank you. :)

@reallytired – What she said. Go get some sleep. It’ll help.
