“FACE THE NATION” FINISHES FIRST IN VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54 ON SEPT. 15
TELEVISION YEAR-TO-DATE, “FACE THE NATION” IS UP +7% IN VIEWERS AND +10% IN HOUSEHOLDS COMPARED TO LAST YEAR
CBS News’ FACE THE NATION WITH BOB SCHIEFFER is the #1 Sunday morning public affairs show. FACE THE NATION finished first in viewers and adults 25-54 – the demographic most important to those who advertise in News – on Sunday, Sept. 15. The CBS broadcast posted 2.76m viewers, 0.7/03 in adults 25-54 and 1.9/05 in households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Editor’s Note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 50% of the CBS affiliates.
Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in viewers, households and adults 25-54 (tied with NBC). Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is up +7% in viewers (3.06m from 2.85m), +10% in households (2.2/06 from 2.0/06) and even in adults 25-54 (0.7/03) compared to last year.
On the broadcast, CBS News State Department Correspondent Margaret Brennan reported from Tel Aviv with the latest on the U.S.-Russian agreement on Syria’s chemical weapons. CBS News Correspondent Elizabeth Palmer reported from Damascus. CBS News Senior Correspondent John Miller previewed his 60 MINUTES interview with Mike Morrell, retired deputy director of the CIA. Bob Schieffer interviewed Sen. Carl Levin (D-MI), Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) and former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Schieffer also hosted a political panel with Peggy Noonan of the Wall Street Journal, David Gergen of Harvard University, Susan Page of USA Today, and Michael Gerson of The Washington Post.
