NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @ Bryan

Went back & forth w/rob on this point last year & you see how far I got!! I say it’s really a stretch to pick one or two examples a year & call it “cause”–NOT

    @ 60990

OH, ROB (ie) “I’m Back!” (so watch yours) LOL

  • Flame

This was a strange episode of LMS. At first I thought they changed the oldest daughter’s actress again, then she suddenly she had an attitude that she never really showed before. What is going on there? At least there were some nice zingers in there, also from the Duck Dynasty guys.

  • charmedcraft

I don’t think TN ratings are so terrible, especially since the other shows are also lower than the finales. You can’t blame TN for dragging down the other shows when LMS was on before the TN, if anything LMS dragged TN down. It’s a funny show, hopefully it can get better ratings now that people who may not have known are now aware it’s back on.

  • Alex

i always forget that last man standing even exists lol. i watched a couple episodes of the first season but stopped. it seems to have a lot of fans though especially for a friday.

  • rob60990

Oh and if ABC still plans on preempting The Middle for some Toy Story Halloween special I will flip.

  • Jake

Maybe I’m comedy deprived because of the summer but I thought The Neighbors was hilarious last night. ABC could have left it were it was on Wednesdays at least for a while. If you. Renew a show you should do everything in your power to make it successful. I’d be more inclined to watch ABC Wednesdays all the way through if there weren’t new shows after The middle an Modern Family every year.

  • Justin121

If Neighbors couldn’t work sandwitched between The Middle and Modern Family what made them think it’ll survive a timeslot change, to Friday no less, and paired with way less compatable -and much lower rated- shows.

  • Jan Perry

I like last man standing, it’s refreshing!! the neighbors I can take it or leave it.

  • Anon

I thought LMS was premiering next week, and I suspect a lot of the normal audience was also caught unawares.

  • Boiler

Ah reba we miss you!!!!!!!!!!!! Another bonehead move by ABC!!

  • dee

I refuse to watch any ABC shows anymore, they just mess everything up

  • Networkman

I was surprised when ABC announced that Last Man Standing and The Neighbors would premiere before the Emmy Awards. I really feel a lot of people didn’t realize they were on. I do feel each will rise. Unlike some dramas where one has to watch the episode prior to know what is going on, viewers are able to quickly tune into and enjoy a comedy whenever they choose. With majority of the shows premiering next week, I think that will help these two comedies gain more exposure on Friday night. I just don’t feel they’ll drop. Last Man Standing repeated well over the Summer and they even had the men of Duck Dynasty. So I really expected better.

  • craig

Anyone who says things like ‘Im going to enjoy watching The Neighbors go down in flames’ needs s smack in the mouth. Just wait till you get a job little kid.

Shame for the show as its a flat out funny show with some great performances but as per usual ABC have just killed it

  • Russell

    My predictions for next Friday:

    Last Man Standing – 1.3
    The Neighbors – 0.8
    Shark Tank – 1.5
    20/20 – 1.2

    Undercover Boss – 1.7
    Hawaii Five-0 – 1.6
    Blue Bloods – 1.5

    Michael J. Fox Show (R) – 0.7
    Michael J. Fox Show (R) – 0.8
    Dateline – 1.0

    Master Junior Chef – 1.0
    Sleepy Hollow (R) – 0.8

  • Networkman

I really enjoyed The Neighbors last night, even more than Last Man Standing. I think ABC had better be patient with these shows. I think they will see it pay off. As a viewer, I’m appreciative of having comedies to watch on Friday Night.

  • Marc

Shark tank will rise like always. Still dont get the Neighbors move as it starts its new night 2M overall viewers and 20% below the season average of MC. Not sure it will get to Happy Ending lows but I’d anticipate >1 in the demo.

  • HV

I’m laughing at The Neighbors right now.
Last Man Standing I think is dead after the end of season 4. I hope it adjusts up in the finals though! A 1.6 isn’t bad!

  • Andrew

Well, LMS is a crappy, boring comedy and it got 3 years. And I like Tim Allen , but this show is just not funny. The Neighbors on the other hand IS funny, has heart, warmth and great acting. I think ABC realizes that this is a show that can grow and will give it the room and freedom to do so. Based on numbers, some of the best comedies in tv history should have been cancelled their first 2 seasons.

  • Paris

It was obvious The Neighbors would fail. This show should never been renewed. It was already doing poorly on Wednesday. Any user of this site could see that coming.

Malibu Country was a weak show and was doing poorly too, but it had potential to recovery, had an amazing lead actress and was compatible with Last Man Standing. It probably would premiere with the same 1.2 rating as Neighbors premiere, but it would have a chance to grow if they have fixed what was wrong in the show.

ABC is a complete mess. They will have a really hard time this season. New shows look completely awful and even Agents of SHIELD seems weak and I wouldn’t be surprised if it fails too. This network is done, they only have Greys Anatomy and Scandal.

If Hawaii 5-0 beats Shark Tank i will run the streets naked.
