    Yikes for CBS. Mom i guess should have premiered after HIMYM. If We AreMen flops too next week, Mike & Molly should return immediately

  • John K.

    Anyone have Blacklist half hours?

  • HV

    THE VOICE 5.1??? WOW!!! I was way off predicting 3.9! The Blacklist did as I expected, but the lead-in was way bigger than I expected. I expected it to be a show that was able to do good without The Voice’s help, but I doubt that now.

  • tony

    Wow! wait to start the season NBC number 1 in every hour.

  • Steve-A

    Who thinks Scandal will tank? LOL. Wishful thinking.

  • SleepEZ

    Great numbers for The Voice. As much as Christina can ‘annoy’ some people, she really makes the show. I’m not shocked people were excited by her return.

    I enjoyed the premier quite a bit actually.

    Anyone have Blacklist half hours?

    Preliminaries were 4.1/3.5.

    CBS will not pull Mom. They will be patient with it. Chuck Lorre’s name will secure it for at least a full first season, and they will nurture it. If it’s really have ratings trouble come spring, then they swap it and put it behind Big Bang Theory, but remember Big Bang started out slow too, and it’s now one of the biggest shows on cable. And 2 broke girls begins in syndication on TBS in fall 2015 for over $1.5 million per episode, WB will make sure it stays on the air and airing on TBS could give it a lot of exposure to grow.

    TBBT did not start as slow as you think. It just wasn’t the megahit it is today. TBBT series premiere had a 3.7 rating on 9/24/07.

    The thing is I think the Emmy win for the voice gave it a boost. The voice is the industry darling singing show it’s fun, great chemistry with judges but it will never be what idol was in early seasons the pop culture phenom that changed television.

    Big Bang did pretty good comparatively, Mother was not a Hit, Big Bang started leading the schedule by the end of season #1 and kept growing from their, Mom is nothing new just a raunchier Reba 2.0, but hey it did good enouth, 2 Broke Girls should of been moved after Big Bang, w/ 2 and a half men coming back to Mondays, just not a strong show

  • John K.

    @Melissa

    Thanks.

    And Re: Monday Comedies, I’ll have to check on Mom. 2 Broke Girls is way too crass for my liking. Raunchy sexual humour (I’m Canadian) is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to Comedy, imo.

    Nice second episode rating for Sleepy Hollow. It’s in no trouble, yet.

    Castle had a nice return, but Hostages looks practically DOA.

    (NBC) Just as with Smash , The Voice is a great lead in, and had a great deal to help Blacklist get some viewers ,

    Unlike Smash , Blacklist probably has a wider audience appeal

    (FOX) Really like those starting #’s for Sleepy , would love to know how much of the audience also watched Bones.

    (CBS) All things considered , those are great numbers for the 2hr Comedy Block , but not sure yet what to make of Hostages ,

    (ABC) The Runt of Monday evening TV if your only looking at the demo , but they have a really large audience ,

  • Aok98

    I’m watching The Blacklist right now, seems pretty good, worth a second look. Beats the heck out of Housewives or Dummy Boo Boo anyway.

    @Ultima
    That UK X Factor peak was a 55 share.

    This week’s broadcast of UK X Factor got 8.8m viewers and a 39.9% share.

    And that’s just a typical week, nothing special.

    “The Voice” may be experiencing exactly what Idol experienced for about 7 seasons, it just keeps topping itself. For whatever reason, these popular reality show competitions tend to age similar to successful sitcoms, they don’t hit their peaks until 5-6 years into their runs. And considering “The Voice” does double seasons, I think ratings will continue to be good for a couple more years.

    “The Voice” has become the most familiar show on TV. Even if it may not be the highest rated, the big red chairs and the celebrity coaches have turned it into a pop cultural phenomenon. “Big Bang Theory” may quietly win in the ratings, but “The Voice” is really the one making the Noise.

    i watched MOMS,HOSTAGES an THE BLACKLIST i for one liked all 3.really thought MOMS was well done.they all deserve to make it.an i think why REDDING in hostages is so into ELIZABETH is way to easy to figure out.

    Great news for Sleepy Hollow. I really like how strong this show is starting and how entertaining it is.
