The problem with 2BG is that it is way down from last year and its first season. Normally a hit anchor show would grow from year to year but its stumbling badly regardless of the competition. Its also just a bad show that hasn’t improved at all. The writing is simply horrible. Mom is like the female version of 2 1/2 men. I love Allison Janney and think this role is perfect for her so even though the pilot was a bit heavy handed in terms of drugs, cheating etc I think the kids will keep the show somewhat grounded. The problem is if their thursday implodes and theres a strong chance it could if The Crazy Ones doesn’t take off, there will be some major scheduling shuffling going on by November.

The Wrap is reporting Agents of Shield got a 4.6 with 11.9M viewers last night. It’s pretty safe to assume it lived up to its hype & clearly won its 8pm time period.

CBS has LOST (see: Under The Dome) the confidence of its viewers. I am not going to invest my time and passion in shows that will ultimately fail me. From the first clips of Hostages, all I could think about is how could this story line play out over, not just 22 eps, but, for more than one season. It doesn’t make sense. I was going to give Blacklist, at least three viewings before deciding to continue, but, the logic holes where huge, in the first half hour, that after 45 minutes, I gave up. My reasoning: I am afraid of the upcoming season of Homeland (too much interference from Showtime, see: Dexter) and if I am going to watch a series, known for SUV sized plot holes needed to move the story forward, Homeland is about all I can take, right now.

Thought the episode of BONES was really good this week….
but against “The Voice” and “HIMYM” it’s tough to compete.
Wish FOX would find a better spot for it.

I liked Hostages, I hope they will give it a chance, maybe another night would work better. I want to see where it will take us. I liked Blacklist also, not as much as I thought I would, but I’ll DVR and keep watching.

CASTLE was outstanding last night and kept me glued to my seat. Andrew Marlowe (executive producer)did an amazing job keeping us fans enthralled and next weeks episode looks even more amazing. BRING IT ON!! WAY TO GO CASTLE!!!

Great for Sleepy Hollow. Really is a great show. Has great history lessons, is major spooky and has interesting characters. A bit TWD meets Supernatural with some Revelation spookiness. Love it. The Historical scenes are well produced and the ghost / witch / supernatural scenes are scary for a major network.

Remember too this all up against MNF, Football people. That will always skewer the numbers down. Especially a show like Sleepy Hollow which to me has a bit manliness to it.

Regarding CBS, I do feel there may be too many Chuck Lorre comedies now on the network. The network needs a comedy that looks different, something fresh. Anyways, regarding Hostages, I felt it was wrong for CBS to only debut 1 new drama in the Fall. I really wish the network would of picked up Beverly Hills Cop.

CBS really didn’t need to be in a rush to have 8 comedies on the air. They could of simply expanded Thursday to two hours and then had Beverly Hills Cop on Monday. This season should of been about strengthening 2 Broke Girls

I would of liked this better
    Monday
    8pm Beverly Hills Cop
9pm How I Met Your Mother
    9:30pm Mike & Molly
    10pm Elementary

    Thursday
    8pm The Big Bang Theory
    8:30pm 2 Broke Girls
    9pm Crazy Ones
    9:30pm Two & a Half Men
    10pm Person of Interest

Wow The Voice bet HIMYM. Sleepy Hollow bet 2 Broke Girls Wow.. MOMS – C+ Not that bad

  • Big Daddy

I don’t think that’s a horrible number at all for Bones when it goes against the the voice and dancing and himym

I seriously enjoyed more watching HOSTAGES than THE BLACKLIST.
Give Hostages a chance, it really worth it. :D

Wow, CBS really miscalculated on the Monday 10 pm slot.

They moved the much-maligned but universally recognized, CSI:Miami and inserted a pop-icon from 30 years ago, Hawaii 5-0, which has never risen to the same status. Now 5-0 is surfing on Friday nights. And it’s Monday replacement can’t hold on to the same numbers.

What’s is CBS’ problem any way? The Mentalist debuts after NCIS with great numbers. So they move it to Thursday to make way for NCIS:LA and TM doesn’t recover and now is living out its days on Sunday. NCIS:LA couldn’t survive without NCIS leading it now. Too bad CBS didn’t let it gain its own footing like the CSI’s did on separate nights.
