I agree with some of the comments regarding NCIS. For a series entering its 11th season I believe, I think it is amazing that it pulled 20 million. Especially when everyone knew that SHIELD was going to get a lot of sampling and THE VOICE is so strong. The demo for NCIS might be lower than last year, but it is still a great number when you look at the heavy competition.

And for everyone thinking that CBS is already planning to move POI or that it is a flop in the time slot, please remember that this is the very first week. Viewing patterns have not been formed quite yet.

    @KittyKat,

“No effort? Have you seen their thursday line-up?”

    – a limping sitcom
    – a dwindling drama
    – 3 generic new sitcoms (one’s actually called The So-and-So Show!).

    Yeah, I’ve seen their must-not-be-seen Thursday line-up…

  • Aeiouy

Goldbergs not funny. Trophy wife only funny new comedy so far this year

  • Theisssuesarenow

LOL how can someone be ignorant when they were saying since May this would happen to POI? Total collapse and now on cancellation track.

Tuesday at 10 patterns for CBS have been the same for many seasons now! And now POI is right into that pattern already at a series low and lower than when Vegas premiered. CBS and TV also has a pattern of low spring ratings so POI will be all 1’s. Back in May it was obvious this was going to happen and lots said “no POI will do fine and respectable” and now its already at series low and guaranteed to go lower by spring.

Wow guys, we have a psychic here! ;)

Trophy Wife was hilarious last night!! I wish it would have gotten better ratings tho! I think if they had aired it at 9 instead it would have held on to The Agents lead in better than The Goldbergs which was good but Trophy Wife is the better show!!Also glad to see Agent and NCIS do well!!

  • Tommy M.

@ CrimTV, whats even funnier is that POI is only down 4% from the May finale. I’ve seen worse week to week declines!

Re: “The competition to be the most ignorant poster on this site is fierce today, so I applaud your effort….”

Don’t count yourself out of the running.

  • Charlie

So i take it that lucky 7 is going to be yanked off the schedule next week??

  • Justin121

?Generic thank they’re not looking for anything groundbreaking that’s how.

  • THE OLD MAN

    Nice adjustments for CBS

    No adjustments for NG

You may want to look up the word ignorant in the dictionary. Ultima may be snarky with the ill-informed commenters, but is one of the most knowledgeable commenters here when it comes to TV ratings.

  • Janet

Get rid of NCIS…I’m sick of it.

  • CBSviewer

    @ Ultima

I was talking about viewership. I’d like to see NCIS with 23 million viewers and 4.0 in demo.

  • Ultima

You know, theissuesarenow has inspired me. Normally, the completely insane people are always arguing about CW shows. It’s good to know that major network shows can get some crazy love/hate too. This season is going to be awesome! :D

  • THE OLD MAN

    @ Tommy M

Your comments all day have been right on! Keep Rockin’

    @ Ultima

You’re still the ultimate! Keep Rockin’ 2

Exactly POI fell just 4% from it’s May finale to it’s September premiere in a weaker timeslot. The Fox comedies all fell around 7/8 tenths from one week to the next!

    Haters gonna hate.

Good news is, my Buffy Season 8 collection was delivered today. It’s all good :)

I don’t think CBS will cancel its higher rated drama especially since they’re developing NCIS: New Orleans for next season ;)
