Wait until Arrow and the Tomorrow People start up.

  • PurpleDrazi

Wow, this makes SVU look even more impressive.

  • AllOfHerTw!st

At least Criminal Mimes didn’t adjust down.

    Go Revolution!

No need to call me crazy. Let’s see how the season plays out. It just seemed like the show stayed in the high 1s to low 2 range last season (a few lower than that, just like Revenge). Plus both these shows are serialized, I wouldn’t expect a viewer watching MF last night to stick around for Nashville unless they’d watched it before. I wouldn’t expect it to jump and hold 70, 80% retention from MF when it did low 2s and high 1s last season. The premiere was the resolution of a cliffhanger… I’ve never kept on a show that aired right after a show I was watching if I had no idea what was going on.

    X-Factor sucks!

  • Maximillian

Revenge originally aired behind a 1hr episode of MF in 2011. MF got a 6.1 that night, and Revenge (premiere) got a 3.3.

Not that different at all from Nashville situation.

  • Eric

X-Factor will sink tonight! Can’t wait!

@CrimTV – The poster was referring to when Revenge aired in the Wednesday 10:00 timeslot, not this past season on Sundays.

That 2.0 for Nashville is just fine. That’s what it got for its second episode last fall, and it’s up from the first season finale.

  • Keith

And, personally, I expected nothing better than low 2s for last night, because it IS serialized. MF could gave done a 6 last night and I still wouldn’t have expected Nashville to hold more than 40-45 percent of that audience.

    @Keith, @Maximillian, @r0ckmypants

Oh guys, sorry, I misunderstood the comment and though you were referring to the second season. :)

  • CBSviewer

At least CSI tied last season finale. Hopefully it will go up next week :)

  • DenverDean

CSI will be fine – at least it went up in viewers for Finals. However, no SVU going forward and SVU will NOT have another story like this – it was unique. Don’t expect those ratings again. Nashville won’t have MF lead-in. Of course, DUCK DYNASTY is bigger winner.

  • James

@Matthew That was the capture “series finale”
    That’s what it said

  • cc

    Yay for the Middle.

  • Keith

I totally forgot the MF rating when Revenge aired its first episode…. And that was the very first episode, too… People would not have been caught in the middle of the storyline.

  • Keith

no problem, it’s easy to misunderstand people on the internet. No worries! :-)

The Middle won its timeslot woohoo.

The little show beat the hyped up reality series, the behemoth reality series, the highest rated new drama of last season.

The X-Factor was FOURTH in its second hour, beaten by 2 old, tired shows.

–Revolution proved it has its own audience and wasnt being boosted by the voice after its spring return. I hope they wont do another long hiatus to the show this year cause it will die.
–The middle has potential to grow if they add some serious storyline. it did well though.
–Modern family episodes finally got to be good again , after a lot of fail episodes last year… Hope they continue like that and it wasnt so well written just for the premiere . Great numbers .
–Nashville should have been cancelled. show does terribly , and i wonder why they moved revenge from that slot in the first place. It was doing a lot better until they killed in in sundays opposite awards and sports.

  • Brian

Nashville will be cancelled by the end of the season..should have already been dumped last season!

haha at Nashville. What a loser. ABC moves Revenge which pulled best ratings in the timeslot in 5 years for an overhyped piece of crap starring an overpraised mediocre actress.

Not happy with the ratings for The Middle & Modern Family premieres. Modern Family is down a lot from last year’s premiere. The Middle isn’t down as much as I would have liked higher. Well it didn’t do much worse than CBS’ non-anchor Monday comedy 2 Broke Girls.

The major surprised are X Factor rising & SVU having its best ratings in a couple of years. It even hurt CSI. Revolution didn’t do as bad as I thought but that is hardly a good rating.
