“CBS SUNDAY MORNING” POSTS BEST DELIVERY OF ADULTS 25-54 – THE DEMOGRAPHIC THAT MATTERS MOST TO THOSE WHO ADVERTISE IN NEWS – SINCE 2009-2010 AND ITS BEST HOUSEHOLD DELIVERY SINCE 1993-1994

CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD finished the 2012-2013 television year as the #1 Sunday morning news program, according to most current Nielsen ratings. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted its best viewers delivery since the advent of people meters in 1987, its best adults 25-54 delivery since 2009-2010 and its best households delivery since 1993-1994.

CBS SUNDAY MORNING finished the year up +8% in both viewers (5.45m from 5.05m) and adults 25-54 (1.4/07 from 1.3/07) – the demographic that matters most to those who advertise in news – and up +6% in households (3.8/11 from 3.6/10) compared to last year.

In the final Sunday of the 2012-2013 television year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was the #1 Sunday morning news program in adults 25-54, viewers and households, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sept. 22, 2013. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.7/10 with 5.37m viewers and a 1.3/07 in adults 25-54.  Compared to the same day last year, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +8% in adults 25-54 (from 1.2/06), +17% in viewers (from 4.59m) and +12% in households (from 3.3/09).
CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.

    I don’t get the appeal of this show. It’s so slow-paced and boring.

    I’m 62 and I can’t stand the dull Osgood and the glacial pace of this show. My husband watches it because he’s not a fan of Internet news (and 5 years older than I am), but I wish they’d ‘pep’ it up a bit.
