  • Charmed

Unrelated but wow @ Unforgettable getting renewed, I did not expect that

  • Dan

@Charmed – I didn’t either, I wonder where the show will air when it’s second season returns in the spring?

  • Charmed

@Dan I expected it to be canceled and have a Saturday burn off, now I don’t know

  • Oliver

I hope Sean Saves the World bombs. It looks all kinds of awful, and it dying might finally convince NBC to shake up their awful comedy development.

  • Dan

@Charmed – I was unsure that the series would even return with its remaining 6 episodes? But with the 13 episode renewal it seems certain that Unforgettable will return with its remaining eps. Maybe it will replace The Good Wife by January so TGW can air less repeats.

I really thought CBS would cancel Unforgettable again but I guess they were happy with how it performed, it wasn’t bad for summer but it wasn’t amazing like how Under the Dome performed.

  • busy06

BBT should be on at 9 pm, CBS would probably see 6’s at that time. It should be the anchor of the night not wasting the lead in at 8pm. An ideal schedule for them is

Thursday: The Millers, BBT, Crazy Ones and TAAHM

NBC has room to grow after on Thursdays. Put a drama at 8pm-9pm for counterprogramming of the comedies. They can do something about the rest of CBS comedies which are no longer beasts like Men.

  • Dan

@Oliver – I could see NBC flipping MJF and Sean Saves the World by late October, SSTW has no chance against Crazy Ones, Glee or Grey’s Anatomy.

I can see SSTW getting cancelled and maybe Community filling the slot. The best case is that NBC likely orders a full season of Welcome to the Family and maybe additional episodes of Sean Saves the World (If it does OK) so by Feb or March Community can replace it.

  • Jumbotron

Would it be insensitive to say that the MJF Show had a shaky start?

  • BigBrotherFan

Unforgettable got renewed? I’m shocked. That’s one of the few CBS shows I like! woohoo! Go Poppy!!!!

  • Mike

Unforgettable was renewed for a third season… What’s gonna happen to the remaining episodes of this season

  • Dan

@Jumbotron – No that might accurately describe it, however look at the show’s 1.3 Parks & Rec lead in, and while I love Parks & Rec to death and think its one of the best shows on TV, it was never an NBC hit and its probably going to be cancelled by the end of the season unless NBC wants to pull a 30 Rock and give it a final 13 episode 7th season. But MJF did build on its lead in so if it continues to pull those numbers and build on Sean Saves the World than NBC would consider it successful. It already has a full season.

@BigBrotherFan – I’m as surprised as you are, I guess there’s no Saturday 6 episode burnoff for the remaining Season 2 episodes. I could see CBS moving Hostages to Saturdays by November to burn off the show and them airing the remaining Unforgettable Season 2 episodes in that slot but thats unlikely. CBS will probably burn through Hostages on Mondays and maybe air Unforgettable’s season 2 episodes in place of The Good Wife repeats in January.

I finally watched Crazy Ones, and I have to admit it was not what I expected. It is quite atypical when compared to the better-known CBS sitcoms.

I am not even sure if I would call this a sitcom at all.

I don’t know if it can survive, but I think I will give it a few more chances.

I watch TCO last night and enjoyed it. Those ratings are great and I hope it doesn’t fall too much next week. I think it may not drop a ton next week because from what I’ve read on the Internet from people who watched it, it had a mixed reception but even though a lot of people didn’t love it, it left them with curiosity to check it out again next week. Although that’s only from however many people so I could be wrong. I watched Grey’s today and like always it was good! Those numbers a great you have to bare in mind that the show is in it’s 10th season and can still crack a 3.4 and create buzz. I can’t wait for Scandal next week and am super curious to see how high it premires! My guess is a 3.4 or higher due to how much buzz the show has been getting and Kerry Washington being nominated for an Emmy.

I’d be interested to see what NBC would do if both WTTF and SSTW crash and burn. My guess: Community at 8, MJF repeats at 8:30 until Jan, MJF moved to 9, Parks at 9:30

That said, I’d love to see Community outside that damn 8pm death slot for just a few weeks.

You may favorite certain Networks or Shows but 4 days in this is where we stand

NBC back strong with THE VOICE and a strong premier of THE BLACKLIST
CBS strong comedies but not a strong premiere of Hostages
FOX came out strong with Sleepy Hollow but tanked with BONES
    ABC mediocre numbers

NBC another strong night of THE VOICE that helped Chicago Fire
ABC SHIELD came out strong which helped THE GOLDBERGS, but LUCKY is DOA
CBS solid numbers for all their shows
FOX horrific numbers for the night, the lineup needs to be redone

ABC solid numbers with MODERN FAMILY being the stand out
    FOX solid numbers
    CBS solid numbers
    NBC solid numbers

CBS BIG BANG rivals the NFL in both audience and demo that is pretty amazing, with CRAZY have a great start and all other shows being solid.
FOX rating that if they were lower by .1 – .2 would put the lineup in question.
NBC horrible ratings I would do try and redo the night and see if it were possible to turn the MICHEAL J FOX show more into a 1 hr production at 10pm.
ABC The have GREYS , enough said

    Off Topic

I see other sites are reporting that CBS has renewed Unforgettable for a 3rd season to air summer 2014 … just like roulette, always bet on red.

I think that’s a great number for grey’s cause lets remember that last year it premiered really high because of the plain crash, this years premier didnt have as much buzz. Also I think it has a great chance if increasing a bit next week. I think Scandal is gonna maybe hit a 4 and that will give the whole night a boost. Plus it was received well, I really loved it IMO, and lesser competition from non tribute Glee, lesser lead in crazy ones, and NBC. Also OUATW the week after that. Anyway can’t wait for Scandal.

@Oliver – My guess is that NBC will probably order a full season of Welcome to the Family to save face and likely additional Sean Saves the World. Their expectations have to be pretty low especially up against CBS’s comedy block and ABC’s dramas and FOX’s X Factor/Glee combo.

I don’t think they will cancel both Welcome to the Family and Sean Saves the World this fall, maybe just one of the two.

I could see by March both WTTF and SSTW being over with maybe Community at 8, Parks at 8:30, MJF at 9 and a new comedy at 9:30.

the lowest returning drama was 1.6 Parent Trap get off Revolution back it had almost 7 mill viewers for a show with barely any promos sent to die a slow death, but it did not. Revolution was never going to be the mega hit because of the Voice. The show is Sci-fi with a loyal fan base. So many Revolution haters 1.8 is not that bad for NBC Wednesday night at 7pm CT while every one was predicting low 1. I am a fan and knew it would probably draw a rating between 1.8/2.0. Just though it would hit a 2.2. The show will remain steady at 1.8 with no help from NBC this year. NBC gave Revolution a primo spot last year, the ratings r what they r and would not make a difference if it had the Voice lead in.
The reality is Parent Hood was the lowest scripted drama of a returning show. a 1.6. Both shows were moved from there time slots and yeah Parent Trap critically acclaimed. Whatever!
So get your facts straight.. Oh by the way Blacklist will fall like a rock, like Smash, like Revolution , that FBI chic is worse than Charlie from Revolution. So many smug people on this website. Every one want”s another show to fail. So many experts who predict what shows will be a mega hit, and won’t. Personally thought the premier of Revolution was awesome.
