Yeah If I where NBC I would of just conceded the 8PM hour to a drama/reality, I would of lead with Parenthood, then had the 4 comedies at 9PM and 10PM, leading SSTW/and ending w/Parks, that way I could have a strong show at 10:30.

I would of found a way to keep Go On, maybe show less of the group, more of the workplace…don’t know, I know going in the show had to be a hit because of high cost.

About A Boy will have to be put after the Voice to get a descent launch, I like the main actor,(David Walton) NBC loves him too, he has been the lead in 4 sitcoms that have bombed playing almost the same character(Bent, 100 Questions, Quarterlife, Perfect Couples).

Will be interesting to see if this is finally his hit show

Think I should add Glee starts syndication so thats another source of income and may bring in me viewers.

  • FOX kid

Oh my BIG BANG is a monster!

Poor Glee. This is really going to be their penultimate season. The final season should only compose of great 13 episodes like the first season.

NBC better starting warming up Community in the bullpen for 8:30…

  • TV Addict

Lets just say what everyone who’s name is TV Addict is thinking, I am so glad about these MJFS ratings, and I hope they drop even lower and lower. Why? SO COMMUNITY CAN GER SIX SEASONS AND A MOVIE!!!
Depending on how steady it is, it could happen. You don’t know me.

  • Steve

TBBT continues to dominate in viewers and 18-49 demo.
Crazy Ones has a solid debut and more viewers than 2.5 Men :)
P&R holds it’s own despite the competition in the timeslot.

Glee? Should be cancelled with those ratings.

  • AlanHaliwell

@Steve Well it’s been renewed for 2 full seasons Its brining in alot of music revenue so if it can keep around 2 its doing great

  • Jayme

IT would not shock me if they move GLee to the summer.

  • Chris

Does anybody else think that Two 1/2 Men has jumped the shark? Charlie’s daughter just shows up out of the clear blue? I guess since Jake is gone they have to add another juvenile delinquent to the cast. I didn’t laugh once during the entire episode.

  • Networkman

I just watched The Crazy Ones and was pleasantly surprised. Robin Williams was not unbearable. Even though I wasn’t laughing a lot, the show kept my attention. It was entertaining. Kelly Clarkson was delightful in her guest starring role. This is a quirky show and I will give it another shot.

CBS also has another funny new comedy in Mom. Even though some of the jokes make you cringe, it does so in a funny way. I can appreciate comedies that are not PC. I don’t mind a more adult oriented comedy. Anna Faris was perfect. She really was able to bring life to the material and had me laughing several times. I hope to see Mom rise in the ratings in the upcoming weeks. This show has a lot of potential.

@AlanHaliwell – This idea that Glee brings in lots of revenue from music sales is a fallacy. Once upon a time, this was true, but as of last season, it’s not. Music sales are WAY down, and once you factor in the licensing fees, it’s conceivable that, technically, they lose money on some of those songs. Of course, that’s still not really an issue, because it’s offset by TV ad revenue. That’s where the show’s real money has been made and will continue to be made (plus now they have syndication).

@Steve – Yeah, Glee got crushed on Thursday night, and it will probably continue to get crushed, but it’s all about how it performs compares to Fox’s other scripted programs. Still, I guess it’s moot since Glee’s already been renewed for another season.

Of course, I would love it if this show fell to Touch season 2 ratings. I wonder what Fox would do then. Would they pull the plug early? Or do they have to honor their two season renewal?

  • Rob R

Folks….Glee was renewed for 44 episodes…..just accept it and move on. FOX has already said that will likely be the end of its run but it probably wont decide whether to go to Season 7 until January 2016. That’s a long time. The original actors are contracted through seven seasons so a 7th season is a possibility.

  • Bryan

TBBT is such a beast. If it was in the 9 PM timne slot it would likely get 20 million every week.

  • Preston

Grey’s Anatomy jumped the shark seasons ago. And the low ratings on this seasons opener only confirms that this will be the last season! Nobody watches this drivel anymore! Sandra Oh quitting this year is the icing on the cake….Not to mention that Dempsey and Pompeo are only signed through the end of Season 10. “Ice berg straight ahead”….this ship is going down!!!!

  • Tomcatt630

I like ‘P&R’, but it’s time to go. The actors were phoning it in last week, and have the “We want to do movies” vibe.

Big Bang is still funny and better with female characters, the “Penny and the Nerds” of the first few seasons got old, and needed to evolve.

NBC lost many viewers when ‘friends’ ended. They failed at finding new fans. Too many said “I quit watching NBC after friends ended”. NBC coasted thinking ‘they will be back’. CBS stepped it up and went after younger viewers, with ‘Bang’ and ‘Met Your Mom’, and it’s paying off.
